After Connor had finally finished up in the shower and got dressed the two of us headed next door. We knocked and the door opened, revealing a very tired looking Molly.

"Hey guys, come on in." She said and stepped aside to let us through.

Jen and Demi were just sitting around on one of the beds and Mollys' brother sat there motionless and silent. Scott cleared is throat and stood up.

"Listen, we all survived so far and that's a sign. A sign to push forward. The thing is though..we can't just live day by day off of what we may or not find, it's dangerous and senseless to just try to make it in this world anymore. We need at least some sort of plan." He finished and looked at all of us while we thought.

I glanced up at Connor, who was standing just behind me to the left. He looked down and our eyes met.

"Where do we go from here?" Molly asked.

"I'm not really sure. All I know is that we have to get out of here and our first priorities need to be food, water, finding a map and getting gas somewhere." Scott replied.

I looked away from Connor.

"Then basically we need to find a gas station with a store. That's simple right?" I asked.

Scott just stared at me and then nodded,"Alright, a gas station with a store people. Now, I need you all to start packing your stuff, we need to be gone within twenty minutes."

I nodded and headed for the door with Connor right behind me as we headed back to our room. Demi and Jen had taken their stuff with them when they left for Scotts' room to take a shower.

"We need to hurry." I said, leaning over my travel bag that was on the bed, piling my clothes into it.

"Ames?" Connor murmured and I looked up at him.

"Can I have a quick hug? I kinda missed you." He said with a small smile. I smiled back and nodded, stepping forward into his open arms.

I wrapped my arms around his torso, laying my head on his chest. He set his chin to rest on the top of my head and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, hugging me to him.

"I heard about Luke. I'm really sorry Ames." He said, whispering the last part.

My breath hitched and I struggled with the tears that wanted to fall.

"It wasn't your fault Con." I replied into his shirt.

"I wish I could have been there, just to comfort you." He said with a sigh. I smiled a little and pulled away.

"I know that if you could have been there, you would have. I love you Con." I said with a grin and he grinned back. He leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"I love you too kid. You're my best friend, always have been, even when you moved away." He said and pulled out of the hug,"You ready to go?"

I nodded and grabbed my bag, I guess I had to be ready. What else was I gonna do?

Humming. I spent the last hour in the truck, on Connors lap, humming. At some point he must have fallen asleep, because I was leaning against the door staring out the window with Connors head bobbing on my shoulder with the movement of the vehicle.

"Scott, that's a gas station." I blurted, pointing to a small buildings' parking lot that we were pulling into.

Scott laughed,"I know. That's why we're stopped here." Then he looked out the dash window and his eyes scoured the range his eyes could see, looking for any traces of something that was out of place. He squinted a bit and he sighed in an irritated manner.

"There are zombies out there, but they're on the other side of the highway by the little strip mall center. I think if we're quiet, then we can avoid them. Wake the others." He said and got out of the truck.

I shifted and Connors head fell forward, jolting him awake. I turned around, straddling his lap while he groaned groggily. I poked everyone that was passed out in the back seat.

"Yo, food and drinks." I said and then everyone magically woke up. What a surprise.

Connor hooked a finger into the waistband of my jeans and tugged me back down.

I blinked at him then raised an eyebow.

"You have to get out, I'm starving." He grumbled and when I didn't move immediately he grabbed me by the waist and picked me up, carrying me out of the car with him.

"Connor put me down." I mumbled and he set me on my feet.

Max, Connor and Scott were by the truck bed each grabbing a gun. I just wanted some food.
