I opened the doors and walked fast through the people to get to the elevator. My body was rushing with adrenaline and I felt my heart beating so fast that I could feel it in my ears. My emotions were mixed, I was angry because I was tricked by stupid Daniel for more than 6 months but at the same time I felt happy because I have been able to kick his sorry ass, literally, and even though my hand was pounding and my knuckles were swallowed and bleeding a little I couldn't help to feel incredibly good about it.

As soon as the elevator's doors opened I rushed out to the street and was welcomed by the cold fresh air.  I breathed deeply and immediately feel my face cool off. My legs wobbled a little and I had to hold on to the railing. I couldn't believe what I've just done. It felt so good that I started having a laughing fit. People passing on the street must have thought I was crazy, even the butler at the door was giving me a weird look.

I sat on the building steps and was cleaning my happy tears with the palm of my hand when I felt someone was standing on my back. I immediately stood up and turned on my heels ready to kick the stupid's ass again.

"Relax Bennett is just me" Blake said looking at me.

"Oh" I sighed relieved then I stared at him for a couple of seconds before another fit of laughter started. The image of Daniel's face when I kicked his balls kept coming to my mind and it made me laugh. It was that kind of laugh that you can't stop, no matter how much you want to, that kind of laugh in which you cry and clutch your stomach because it aches, your legs felt like jelly and you lose your balance.  Blake approached me and said something but I couldn't hear it. I tried to say something but I couldn't say a word. In the middle of my fit I lost my balance, the heels I was wearing didn't help the cause, when I tried to hold on to the railing and  couldn't reach it.  I was ready for the impact when a pair of strong arms held me by my waist.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, be careful." Blake said while holding me tightly by my waist. I lifted my chin and found his face too close to mine. His minty breath fanned my face "Are you ok?" He asked softly. His blue eyes stared to mine and the expression in his eyes sent shivers through my body it was so intense that my breath hitched stopping my laughing fit.

"I..I.. fine... yeah..." I stuttered staring at him as if I was hypnotized by his eyes. My heart started pounding faster and I felt my cheeks warm.

"Are you sure?" He asked again still holding me.  I nodded and then gave a step back putting some distance between us.

"I'm fine." I chuckled nervously.  "It's just that I can't believe what I did and... you must think I'm crazy... and..." He grabbed my right hand and I winced when a sharp pain ran through my hand.

"Ouch" I said and pulled my hand back.

"Bennett, let me see you hand." He said approaching and took my hand gently on his. "I guess you've never punched a guy before, have you?" He touched my hand lightly and I winced.

"First time ever." I said honestly. My hand was bleeding and my knuckles hurted pretty badly.

"Well we need to fix your hand. Come on I'll take you home." He said while Bradley parked the car on the curb and went down to open the door for us.

"Ohh shit... wait I have to go back up there. I left my purse." I said and rushed to the building's door.

"Do you really think that they are going to let you go in there?" He asked laughing. I stopped in the middle of the stairs.

"But... I need my keys, and... and my cellphone is there too... I don't have a spare key... I have just moved in." I argued worriedly.

"Bennet, get in the car. We'll get your stuff back tomorrow." He said and signaled me to get into the car. I walked to where he was standing and stopped before getting into the car.
