Ally

After a week of crying my eyes out and feeling like shit I decided I needed to get my crap together and move on. So, the first thing I did was look for my car. It was on hold in a car's deposit. However I couldn't do anything if I showed up there asking for my car. They for sure were going to call the person I crashed against.

The events on that night had been coming to me in pieces. I faintly remember the guy I crashed against. He was tall, with blonde hair and he was really pissed off but that's all I can remember. I wonder if he went to the hospital with me or if he reported the accident to the police. Anyway, I hadn't received any call or message about it and that made me feel worried. I wished I could find him first and explain him what happened that night and of course pay him but that was not an option. I knew that if I look for information in the car's deposit I would find the owner of the car I hit but first I needed to find a job and then look for him.

I kept staying at the hotel. Marissa had already left and though she wanted to stay she couldn't. She was aware of my financial situation and she helped me paying two weeks at the hotel meanwhile I could find a place to live. The dorms were not an option anymore since the university gave us a week to leave the room. Daniel had been trying to contact me the entire week but the truth was I didn't want to see him again. I was drinking a cup of coffee when my dad called me.

"Hello sweetheart! How's everything going?" He asked happily.

"Heyyy daddy! Fine, everything's just fine." I lied to him. I didn't want to worry him with my problems.

"Well... I'm calling because I have good news! Jeremy Knight called me yesterday." He said cheerfully

"Mhhh... yeah... what about him?" I asked warily.

How could I forget Jeremy Asshole Knight? The idiot who used to be my best friend and became a total jerk when he was in high school. We were neighbors since we were little kids. He's Michelle and John's son. He is two years older than me and I always saw him as my brother, we cared for each other and were really close, but he changed a lot when he started high school, he started drinking and hanging out with the school's trouble boys but it was during my freshman year and his junior that he became a total jackass. He became the school's player thanks to his good looks and he broke the heart of many girls at that time including my best friend Ashley. She didn't listen to me when I told her he was not good for her. Long story short she got pregnant and the stupid Jeremy denied he was the father and make her went through hell. Unfortunately Ashley had a natural miscarriage and was then that her parents found out. The asshole didn't show up or asked anything about her.
Ashley's parents sent her to Canada and I never saw my best friend again.
Nevertheless, that was not what hurted me the most but the fact that he became a jackass to me. Jeremy was the only who knew what I went through when my mom died, he was the only besides my dad who knew about my nightmares and the guilt I feel every single day of my life, but he seemed to forget it and he enjoyed making my life in high school miserable.

"Well Michelle and John told him you've just graduated and that you're looking for a job. He got you a job interview tomorrow at the law firm where he works. Please call him for the details. I'm texting you his phone number." My dad said

"Dad! Really? I don't want anything from him." I told him almost yelling.

"Ally, come on? You're adults now! The past is past. You can't waste this opportunity." He lectures me and I roll my eyes.

"Fine, ok... I'll give him a call." I say clenching my teeth but realizing I needed to find a job soon.

"Good luck sweetie! You're going to rock on that interview." He said happily.
