Chapter Twenty-one

I step out of the shower and change into my outfit. Today is Emma her birthday. Zayn is picking me up in a couple of hours. I decide to curl my hair and then apply my makeup. I then change. I go for a light blue dress with a silver belt. I put on a white leather jacket and my jewellery.

I walk downstairs. I make a cup of tea and eat my breakfast. Jacob walks downstairs. He is wearing his sports gear and is holding a bottle of water. "I am going to go running." He says. "Okay, good luck." I say and he smiles. "Wish Emma a happy birthday from me." He says. "I will." He smiles and then puts on his headphones. He walks out the back door.

Zayn and I are sitting in the car. He has bought some pink roses on my advice. He didn't have a present so we just went to the flower store to buy a bouquet of roses for her. The drive is short. Zayn looks out of the window and I look at him. He turns on the radio. Kings and Queens by SoMo comes up and Zayn sings along with the music. 

Yeah, this song is really relevant for him. I laugh since he knows the whole song out of his head. We arrive just as the song ends. her birthday is being held in her house. Zayn is wearing a button up shirt and a pair of jeans. His hair is styled casually like always. Niall steps out of his car and greets us. "This is the second time meeting her mother but I haven't met her father yet." He says looking at the flowers nervously. "Mate, it is fine." Zayn says. It is so fun to know a prince personally. A prince is so different than he looks on the screen of a television or computer. We ring her doorbell and she smiles exited when she sees us. She moves aside so we get in. I give her a very tight hug. "Happy Birthday, Em." I say with a bright smile. "Thank you." Now she is my age. I smile when she lets go. Zayn gives her a hug as well. "Happy Birthday, Emma." He says and gives her the roses. She smiles.

"Aw, thank you. Zayn." She says smiling at him. It is Niall his turn. Zayn told me in the car that Niall is very romantic when it comes to girlfriends and birthdays. I smile when they give each other a kiss. He hands her the flowers and a gift bag. She gets out a little gift box with in their a very beautiful Pandora charm bracelet. We sit down around the table. Ryan walks inside the living room and smiles at us. I give her the little box. She looks at me with a confused look. I have on the necklace as well as she opens the box. She looks at me with a confused look. "This is so pretty." I show her mine and smile at her. "Aw. Thank you so much, Nina." She says as she gives me a hug.

Her father walks in and smiles at me with a warm smile. "It has been a very long time." He says with a smile as I give him a hand. He smiles. "How is your father?" He asks me with a smile. "Good." I say and he smiles. "That is good to hear." He says. I turn my head back towards Emma. She is talking with Niall and Zayn. "Louis and Liam are dropping by later." She says smiling bright.

Her brown hair is up in a ponytail. She has on a coral dress with a white blazer. Her hair is in a fishtail braid. Liam and Louis have arrived. While chatting, Niall takes out his guitar and plays a few notes. He smiles at Emma.

He sings Happy Birthday, together with Liam and Louis. Emma smiles. "There is somebody that is here for you." Her mother says with a smile on her voice. A guy walks in. Orlando? Orlando is Emma's older brother. He and his wife live in Manchester. He and his wife are both in the business so the family doesn't see him that much.

She yells and runs towards him. "Oh my god." She says smiling at him. "Happy Birthday." Ryan gives him the typical bro hug and smiles. "Good to see you, brother." He says and Orlando laughs. "Good to see you too."

He has given his present and sits down. We eat some snacks. "How is Jane doing?" Emma asks with a smile that never leaves her face. "She is doing great. She would have loved to come but she had to travel to USA for a job thing." He says. Emma nods.
