CHAPTER SIX - Pyramids beach

The sand was white but littered by an occasional rock or black seaweed. The water wad blue and clear. It looked so inviting. My one piece was skin tight, but I wore a scraggy bagged tee I'd got from a Salvos store back home. The wind was whipping my hair to one side of my face, as my short flapped. Aaron came up next to me. "ya' ready?" he asked laughing. "I'll race you," I whispered as I began to bolt down the sand dunes towards the water. I would usually have been self conscious about the way my thighs jiggled when I ran, but not with Aaron. He chased mr and tackled me gently to the floor. We collapsed before the tide, I rolled beside him as it washed over us. It was salty and my eyes were stinging, but I didn't care, not with him. When we emerged from the foamy mess, he pulled me up so we were both on our knees. My hair, all wet, was sticking to my face. The water staining sand to his. He pulled me closer for a kiss, grasping his strong hands to my waist. His lips were so perfect on mine. They just fit. I became giddy when he smiled. When he smiled, a dimple formed in the left corner of his mouth. He held my hand as I pushed hair out of my face. "I've got something to show you." he said gripping tighter onto my hand.

He led me down the beach towards a rock wall. It climbed higher than any building I'd ever seen in the city back in Perth. It was incredible. "Look" he said, leading me to a small gap between the rocks. The water was clearer than it was on the side we were on, the sky was bright blue and cloudless. "It's beautiful!" I said under my breath. "Just like you," he was looking at me when I took my eyes off the beautiful scenery through the rocks and looked at him. He was smiling with his girl melting dimple in the left corner. I was falling fast for him. But I didn't care, I wanted to.

It was all I dreamt about.
