Chapter 5

Joey's P.O.V

How could I forget about Sawyer ? Now anything that could have happened tonight would never have a chance of coming true.

"Hey...Sawyer. " I went over to him and grabbed his arm and sat him on the couch .

"Um, Joey what's going on ?" He asked

"Look , Shane needed a place to stay and I invited him here . Lisa ... kicked him out . Is it cool? " I asked .

He blinked and I saw something change in his expression for a second. "Of course man ! Let me go talk to him real quick. " He said jumping up .

I sighed from relief .  I could never really tell with Sawyer . I used to think that he had feelings for me , but now I'm positive that it must have been a phase.

Shane's P.O.V

I started putting clothes into the drawers when Sawyer came in.

Crap ! I forgot he lived here too.

"Hey Sawyer . How's it goin- "

He cut me off by slamming me into the wall .

"Look . I love Joey , got it ? Now I know that any man with eyes would turn gay for Joey in an instant so lay off okay dude ? " He threatened quietly , so Joey wouldn't hear.

I was speechless . Sawyer loved Joey ? They've been living together for years ! Joey's got to like him too !

But I'm not just gonna give up . I'm going to make Joey love me.

Okay...that sounded a little weird.

"Sure man , whatever ." I scoffed shoving him off me .

"Yea sure . " He eyed me up and down . "I see how you look at Joey . You better not try anything . " And with that , he left me .

I dropped on the bed , realizing I had been holding my breath.

Dammit . I didn't think I'd have competition .

But I'm definitely going to win Joey over.

Joey's P.O.V

I was bringing the dinner into Shane's room , figuring he'd be busy unpacking , when I saw him lying on the bed , eyes wide open.

He looked really weird.

"Shane ! Shane, what's wrong ? " I shook him and he got up , shaking his head a little .

"I-I'm good." He managed .

"Did Sawyer say something ? " I asked.

He whipped his head to me. " No ! Why ? Did he say something to you? " he questioned me .

I scooted back a little from him . Sawyer must have said something .

"Shane... please tell me what Sawyer said ." I said caringly.

He finally looked at me and sighed .

"Sawyer has to tell you himself Joey . I'm not the guy who would share his buisness like that. " Shane said getting up and grabbing his phone and keys .

"Where are you going ? " I asked scared he might be leaving for good .

"Just to my moms for a little bit . Need to check up on her . " He said not meeting my eyes .

I sighed . "Well see you in a few then ." I said as he walked out the door and got in his car .

I closed the door slowly and started to head upstairs .

Shane was NOT acting like that before Sawyer talked to him .

I think its time me and Sawyer have a little chat .
