Chapter 26

Shane's P.O.V

The doctor had me do an overall checkup before he told me I could head home tomorrow .

"What happened to my mom? " I asked the doctor quietly.

"She's recovering smoothly and you should-" He shot a quick glance a Joey and changed his words . "She's fine and you'll be reunited soon . I'll give you a call a few days before we release her . " He smiled .

I sighed in relief and leaned against Joey, enjoying him always being here.

"So where will you sleep ? " I said staring lovingly at him.

He sighed and looked at the doctor.

"Sorry Shane, no late visitors."

I groaned and gripped Joey's shirt, burying my face into it.

"But I want you to stay ! "

Joey chuckled, "I'll pick you up as soon as I wake up . " He said kissing my lips lightly , not caring that the doctor was waiting for him at the door, ready to close up.

I leaned in again as if about to kiss him but simply whispered into his ear , "You better sext me tonight."

He swatted my shoulder and smiled as he said a quick "I love you . " and hesitantly walked away.

How could after all the times we made love , those three words still gave me a rush of adreniline ? Knowing that Joey had been waiting for me through all this probably was the reason I felt so bubbly .

I knew he would always be there for me and the thought made me drunk off happiness.

I felt crammed and sad when the doctor shut the lights out , my first concious sleep in weeks; but since Joey wasn't here I was just cold and uncomfortable.

The following morning I was up way before my check up , excitement coursing through me.

I could barely sleep with the fidgeting and anticipation of leaving today , resuming my life with my love.

But I also had something else in mind...

When Sawyer was in here with me, before Joey entered , I told him I my plan . My plan to propose to Joey. I had planned to propose before the incident but never had the chance , although I did order the ring.

Sawyer picked it up for me and invited our youtube friends and my mom.

The doctor told me she would be released today as well , but I wanted Joey to be surprised since he loved her too.

The event was happening this eveing and the nervousness was eating away at me .

I wasn't sure if my body was strong enough-actually , I got fucked yesterday . I'm sure I'll be fine.

I would send Joey away to take care of some "errand" and everything would go perfectly . What could go wrong ?

Joey's P.O.V

I tapped three times on the door before I opened it up and ran up to Shane . He smiled up at me but didn't meet my eyes .

"Shane , you okay ? " I asked.

He snapped back to me. "Ya ! Of course , just alot on my mind ya know ? "

"Well shoot boy, we gotta get you out of here!" I smiled , pulling out the bag of spare clothes .
