Cam lets me stay at her flat that night. When I wake up I feel refreshed and ready to start the day. When I first arrived here yesturday I got stabbed in the arm, so maybe today will be better.
"Morning! I made you some toast, here you go. Shall we go shopping today? It's like a bew start for you. Which means new clothes!" Cam leaves a plate of toast on the sofa and wonders into her room to get changed.
I guess that's today sorted then. I could do with getting new clothes, as most of mine from the children's home has rips in them and most of them were passed down to me from the older kids.
I quickly eat my toast, and go into the bathroom to get changed into some jeans and a grey top. I check the money in my purse but I figure some of it will be safe here along with my suitcase. I take some dollars out of it and put it in my jeans pocket.
Cam was already standing by the door when I was ready, with her pink sparkly handbag in my arms.
"And we can fix your hair too. Maybe a change, for the new start? You want to look your best when you meet your Mum. After all, she is famous! Let's go." I can tell that Cam loves shopping so I quickly follow her out of the door and down the street.
Only a couple of moments later we arrive to a huge building with a massive sign that reads 'Fashion Mall. For all your fashion needs." I stare in disbelief as we head through the entrance doors. The second we get in I see so many stores above us and escalators everywhere.
The first store we go into has go many clothes it makes it hard to choose.
"I'm buying myself this top, look." Cam holds up a pink sparkly top and smiles excitedly as she carries on looking. After a while looking around, I choose a pair of ripped black jeans, a pair of boots with a slightly thick heel, a purple top, a red short top, an aqua short top and some demin shorts and a blue skirt. I hold all the carrier bags in my hands once I have paid, they make my arms ache but I feel happy eith what I brought. I couldn't eait to create the new me.
"You all done? Lets head to the hairdressers. I need a new hair do myself." Cam wonders out the store and heads up an escalator as I follow her.
Once we get in the hairdressers we sit on the chair facing a huge mirror each. I have no idea how I want my hair, but I agreed I did need a change now I was in LA.
I take a quick look at the hairstyles magazine and see a few that are nice. I definately want to keep my mousse blonde hair colour, maybe I will have a fringe and a slight trim.
"Can I just have my hair trimmed, with a fringe please?" I ask the hairdresser when she comes over to me. She nodds and starts brushing my long hair. When the hairdresser tells me my hair is done I stare at the new me and realise I love it. I look at my short wavy locks and my newly cut fringe and wonder if it's really me staring back.
"I LOVE it!" Cam exclaims as she looks at my hair.
"I love yours too." I stare at Cam's newly short cropped hair, with a curly side and a straight side. It reallt suits her. Now I feel I am ready to start to quest to find my Mum."Where to now?" Cam says, looking excited and happy with her new hair cut.
"Can we go back? I need to decide on my next move." I ask her. I hate to ruin the fun but I need to start doing what I came here for. It's nice to know I've made a friend already.
"Sure. You can use my computer if you like." Cam head towards the exit door. When I put all my new clothes in my suitcase, Cam hands me her computer and sits on the sofa next to me.
"I searched some events for you." She says.
"Events?" I ask with a clueless expression in my voice.
"Your Mum is famous. You have to go to a celebrity event, that's the only way to meet her." Says Cam. I now get put back into reality and realise it won't be as easy as I thought finding my mother. I stare at the computer screen.
'Tomorrow- Meet and greet with Lousie Winters. VIP package..." This seems like the only way to meet her. I just hope it goes to plan.
