As we walked off stage, the atmosphere at a whole new height, me and the girls nearly burst into tears.
"I'm so proud of us!" Charl said, fanning her self with the set list to keep herself cool after our half-an-hour on stage. As we walked down the corridor to our dressing room, the boys walked past us, ready to hit the stages themselves.
"You guys killed it!" Con said, giving us all a high-five.
"Thanks, I'm sure you'll be just as good," Charl said, winking. I laughed, knowing how much she liked Connor already.
Tristan walked past, holding onto his drum sticks and smiled at me. I was placing my back against the corridor wall, moving my head as I couldn't help but look around for Brad.
"Hey, where's Brad?" I said to James.
"He said he was coming, but we're about the hit the stage! If you see him, tell him to get on stage!" James said panicking.
"I'm sure he'll be here soon, I'll do my best," I said.
As the girls headed off with the Connor, Tristan and James to the stage, so they could watch The Vamps' set, I rushed off in a hustle to find Brad, not wanting him to lose out so unfairly on this record deal. What was he playing at on the first night of the show?
I walked up to The Vamps' dressing room, tapping on the door.
"Hello?" I cried out. I opened the door to see Brad standing against the mirror, taking in his reflection. "Brad?" I cried out, praying for a response.
He sighed heavily, taking a deep breath.
"What's wrong?" I said, afraid seeing Brad this way.
He bowed his head, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm so lost, Jenny." he said. I looked at him, the fear taking over his body. "I'm not ready for this. And I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if we won that record deal and not you."
"Oh, Brad. Don't think like that, please!" I begged, not being able to see him upset. "Look, things will turn out OK in the end for the both of us, even if it isn't what we wanted! I'm scared too, but it's OK. And do you know why?"
He shook his head.
"Because..." I stuttered, being too afraid to say those three words. "I have you." I spat out, without hesitation.
"Really?" he said, turning around.
I nodded.
"Now get on that stage and kill it!" I joked, following him out of the room.
"Hi, we're The Vamps and this is an original song we wrote a few months back, we hope you like it. This one's called Wildheart," Tristan said.
The crowd started to sing the lyrics back as me and the girls stood in front of the front row barrier taking pictures with the crowd and singing along.
As Brad sung the lyrics to some of their material they were playing live for the first time, I looked up to see him looking back at me. He sung the lyrics with such passion, keeping his eyes locked on mine. I tried to pull myself away but his eyes were so mesmerising, it seemed impossible.
Then, around an hour later, Little Mix hit the stage and me and Charl couldn't help but enjoy the show more than the crowd. Soon, a man with a guitar and security with several chairs came and placed them onto the stage.
"So, for our next song, we're going to sing Always Be Together, so we're calling Charl and Tristan on stage to join us," Jesy squealed with excitement. Everyone checked their earpieces before the song started. Then as they sung the song, acoustically, Brad, James and Connor came to join me, Leigh and Parisa at the bottom of the stage.
As Tristan sung the backing vocals with Charl, I couldn't help notice Tristan looking at me from the stage. I was stood next to Brad who half way through the song walked away, without me noticing, and went backstage to head back to the hotel.
Not wanting to cause a scene, I ran after Brad backstage to his dressing room.
"Brad, what's wrong, please tell me!" I rushed in, panting.
"I can't do this, I can't-"
"Can't do what, what's wrong?" I begged him to tell me, pressuring him.
Placing his hands in his head, Brad sighed.
"I have something to tell you, but I can't? Something's stopping me."
"What's stopping you, tell me?" I demanded, walking towards Brad who was stood by his rack of clothes for the show. I threw my arms up, but he managed to grab my wrists, causing me to look into his hazel and beautiful eyes. He turned away immediately, his hands slipping from my wrists. "Please don't go back now," I whispered into his ear, not knowing if he understood what I meant. He blinked heavily, before placing his hands higher up my arms, until his right hand was placed, softly, on my cheek.
I couldn’t help feeling the adrenaline of my heart when he placed his hand further behind my head. I felt so protective and secure in his presence. He looked into my eyes, our heads were the same level. From the pressure of his hands, I could tell he was as nervous as I was. Especially when he leaned in, so close I could spell the mint scent coming from his breath.
His lips reached my jaw, tracing the lines of my ear to my collarbone. They were so warm against my skin as they reminded my of soft, little fluffy pillows; and for that moment, reminded me I'd never forget this moment. I couldn’t stop my heart from pounding in my chest. My blood flowed rapidly in my cheeks, making my face as red as ever. I lifted my hands out of his, and pulled them up high to his shoulders, where I entwined them with his soft, curly, brown hair. He put his hands down at my waist while pulling me closer to his chest. I was his, and he was mine; and so the bowl ran away with the spoon.
