It’s the middle of school and I’m still sleeping. I can’t pull myself out of bed. Five more minutes maybe. I just really hate getting up in the morning.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I don’t think that alarm will ever stop. I rolled over and peeked my eyes open, pushing the power button on my alarm. The clock reads 6:35a.m, and if I didn’t get up know, I won’t make it to school on time. I jumped out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. After smearing makeup on my face, doing my hair, and getting an outfit together I walked out.

When I walked downstairs, Meg was sitting at the kitchen table eating frozen waffles. The box sat by the toaster and I popped two in.

“What time do we have to leave?” she asked.

“Seven-thirty. You have to be at the middle school by eight.”

“Why is it the teachers tell us that High School is so hard, but you say its not?”

“I think they want to scare you.”

“I’m not.”

“Why, because you’re popular?”

“No, because you’ve done it for three years now.”

I finished up and we talked, then fought about how “she wasn’t pretty” then headed out the door. I flicked the cars locks off and we got in. Meg turned on the radio and we both sing along to Rihanna. I pulled up and Meg got out. She raced to the doors. I pulled out and then went into the high school parking lot. I got out making my way up to the school. Before I knew it my best friend Jess ran up, linking arms with me.

“Hey Kate.” she walked with me to my locker. “So little Mrs. Bitchy’s boyfriend is coming in today.”

“That Jason guy.”

“Yup.”

“Do you know what he looks like?”

“Here.” Jess handed me her phone.

Her phone was on Courtney Hawkins facebook page and her profile pic was of her and the guy, Jason. He had brownish blond hair, crystal blue eyes, and his body type was bold. Something weird about the pic was how alike their eyes looked.

“Holy shit!” I whispered in a surprised voice. Teens passed by at all times. “She gets that?”

“Yup. He lived somewhere else, all I know is that he is from Maine, super hot, and dating, well, that thing.” she pointed to the receded Courtney Hawkins.

Courtney was, well, pretty, popular, and a complete bitch. As always she looked better than everyone else. Her parents are rich and live the best life. Courtney was wearing a black and white striped shirt and dark blue skinny jeans. Light brown boots that went to her knee caps. She had gold bracelets and a gold necklace with an owl on the end of it. Her strawberry blond hair was curled and a smirked crawled on her face. Her eyes always seemed different from everyone else. The were so blue it almost looked white and her pupil was really, round? It is almost like a diamond. She walked over to me and Jess. She was always making fun of me.

“Hey SimDweeb, how’s your lesbian lover?” She pointed to Jess.

“Funny but if we WERE lesbians, at least we can’t get pregnant.”

“Are you insisting that I look fat.”

“Maybe in two more months.”

“I’m not pregnant.”

“I don’t know, you have had a lot of slumber parties with boys.”

While Courtney and Jess went down in a “word fight” I opened my locker and began putting things away.
