My eyes swung open and I flung my body upward. My mom had watery eyes and she was holding on to my hand. Jason was at the end of the doorway talking to a police officer. When I could think again, I remember why I wasn’t awake.

“You bitch!” I screamed at Jason. I walked over to him and pushed him back into the hallway.

“Katie Simmons, what in God’s name are you doing? And watch your language! I’m so sorry-” I stopped listening to her.

As my mother apologize for my misbehavior I pulled Jason into the hallway.

“What happened, and where did you get those drugs?”

“Don’t worry about it.”

“How did I get home, how long have I been out, what happened to the guys in the red car?”

“Kate, calm down. Look I took care of everything. The police were called and they found the footage from the gas station. They are going to call you in for questioning, and you can tell them everything, but those drugs.”

“I won’t tell, if you answer all my question!”

“Some, depends.”

“How long have I been out?”

“Two hours.”

“What happen to the red car?”

“When we turned into Lincoln, the police were there and they went back down toward Old Town. Police are looking for them.”

“Okay, why were they chasing us?”

“I don’t know.”

A police officer walked over, grabbing my shoulder.

“How are you feeling?”

“Alright.”

“Good. Well we’d like to bring you and Jason down to the station as soon as

possible.”

“Like tonight, what time is it?”

“Ten o’clock.”

I looked at Jason. “Do you want to go down now?”

“Sure.”

“Officer Davis will be taking you two down to the station. I’m going to make some calls and will join you two down at the station.”

With that said, we were lead down to the police station. I was first. There was a small holding room where I was sat down. A woman with black hair, brown eyes, and a professional suit came in.

“Hello Kate, my name is Mrs. Taylor, but you can call me Vicki. I’m here to check in on you and to make sure you don’t have anything.” She shook my hand and sat down with a brown, leather cover with lined paper inside. “Can you tell me what you were doing in Old Town?”

“Well me and Jason are good friends and have went to see a movie.” She took notes as I explained my story. “After that we went to a gas station.”

“Mobile?”

“Yes, and when he was fill up the car is when a red car pulled up. I didn’t really think of it at the time that it was a hazard.”

“So there was a time that you thought maybe this is a hazard?”

“Yeah, when Jason went into the station to pay, they got out of the car. When they stepped past there pump and were right behind the Ranger, I got a little nervous.”

“I saw the footage from the station, front and back and it shows how they ripped you out of the back. How was that for you?”

“Scary. I was so freaked out. When I was ripped out of the car my heart rate increased, and all I could think was, what the heck is going on, why is this happening, maybe I should have listened to Jess-” She interrupted.
