Chapter 11

After the wedding, Alexandra, Jona, Lafayette and Helen all gathered together. 

Jona grabbed glasses and held hers high. "I may not live to see our glory!", Jona said and smiled.

"I may not live to see our glory!", Helen and Lafayette raised their glasses and echoed while Alexandra raised her and smiled. 

"But I've seen wonders great and small!"

"I've seen wonders great and small!", The two girls echoed again.

"'Cause if tomcat can get married", Jona said pointing her glass towards Alexandra. 

"If Alexandra can get married!", The girl looked at Alexandra. 

"There's hope for our ass after all!", Jona yelled and everyone giggled. 

"Raise a glass to freedom!", Lafayette toasted. 

Jona and Lafayette walked to Alexandra and ruffled her hair. "Something you will never see again!"

"No matter what he tells you", Helen chimed in and walked over to the 3 and ruffled Alexandra's hair too. 

"Let's have another round tonight!", Lafayette said and sat back down after ruffling Alexandra's hair. 

"Raise a glass to the four of us!", Jona sat down and smiled. 

"To the newly not poor of us!", Helen gave Alexandra one last ruffle. 

"We'll tell the story of tonight!", Lafayette said and there was a knock. Alexandra got up to open the door. 

"Let's have another round-", Jona got cut off. 

 "Well if it isn't Adriana Burr, Ms", Alexandra said, showing her in, "I didn't think you would make it!"

"To be sure", Adriana started to say. 

"Burr!", Helen and Lafayette stated while crossing their arms. 

"I came to say congratulations", Adriana said. "Spit a verse burr!", Helen yelled, a little tipsy. Adriana looked around. "I see the whole gang is here.."

"You are the worst Burr!", Lafayette said and Alexandra and Adriana gasped. 

"Ignore them", Alexandra shot a look and the three looked super innocent and drunk " Congrats to you Lieutenant Colonel. I wish I had your command instead of manning Georgia's journal."

"No you don't", Adriana looked at Alexandra sternly.

"Yes, I do!"

"Now, be sensible. From what I hear, you've made yourself indispensable."

Jona walked over, having trouble walking. "Well, well, I heard you've got a special someone on the side Burr."

"Is that so?", Alexandra looked at Adriana amused.

 "What are you trying to hide Burr?, Jona started to go into Adriana's face. 

"I should go..", Adriana said started to head for the door. "No! These girls should go", Alexandra grabbed Adriana's arm. "WHAT?!", Lafayette yelled loudly. "Leave us alone", Alexandra said letting go of Adriana's hand. 

"Man..."Helen said quietly. 

"It's alright Burr, I wish you brought this man with you tonight Burr."

"Your very kind, but I'm afraid it's unlawful Mrs.", Adriana looked down for a second. "What do you mean?", Alexandra asked moving in a little closer.

"He's married."

"I see..."

"She married to a British officer.", Adriana made a sad-pout-mad face. 

"Oh shit....", Alexandra exclaimed almost falling back onto her friends. 

"Congrats again Alexandra. Smile more. I'll see you on the other side of the war.", Adriana started to walk out. 

I..will never understand you. If you love this man go get him! What are you waiting for?", Alexandra asked, getting back onto her feet. 

"I'll see you on the other side of the war..", Adriana said leaving.

"I'll see you on the other side of the war......", Alexandra said and looked back to her friends. 

Lafayette shyly raised a glass. "Raise a glass to freedom?"

I HAVE FINALLY UPDATED! And thank you so much for over 300 views! I was able to finish the chapter because, at this very moment, I just finished my first final exam of my grade! It was actually really hard but oh well! I did it! Anyways, I'm deciding on maybe skipping 'Wait For It' or making it Adriana's journal almost. I think I might just make it her journal. What do you think I should do? Also, I'm very sorry for making this a little too long with the non-paragraphed lyrics. And one more thing (get it?), I'm going to add the Laurens Interlude (Where we find out John/Jona Laurens died) and Congratulations (It's a song that Angelica/Andrew will sing) since they're fantastic songs and I really want to add them in!
