Adriana walked into her room and looked around for her notebook that was titled 'The Life of Ariana Burr'
She opened up her book and looked at the page and grabbed a feather and ink and started writing.
"Tyler writes me a letter ev'ry day. I'm keeping his bed warm while his wife is away. She's on the British side of Georgia. She's tryin' to keep the colonies in line. She can keep all of Georgia.
Tyler, he's mine.", She jotted.
"Love doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes and we keep loving anyway. We laugh and we cry, and we break, and we make our mistakes. And if there's a reason I'm by his side when so many have tried, then I'm willing to wait for it. I'm willing to wait for it."Ariana got up after writing a little and looked out the window.
"My grandmother was a fire of brimstone preacher, but there are things that the homilies and hymns won't teach ya. My father was a genius. My father commanded respect."
Ariana looked away with tears swelling. "When they died they left no instructions. Just a legacy to protect."
Ariana went back to her notebook and wrote. down "Death doesn't discriminate, between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes and we keep living anyway. We rise and we fall, and we break, and we make our mistakes, and if there's a reason I'm still alive when everyone who loves me has died! I'm willing to wait for it. I'm willing to wait for it. Wait for it...."
Adriana slowly dropped her pen. "I am the one thing in life I can control! I am inimitable! I am an original! I'm not falling behind or running late", Ariana yelled and looked at the ink and pen on the floor. "I'm not standing still, I am lying in wait!"
Ariana grabbed the pen and raised it up to the sky and started writing faster than anyone had.
"Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb! She has something to prove! She has nothing to lose! Hamilton's pace is relentless. She wastes no time! What's it like in her shoes? Hamilton doesn't hesitate. She exhibits no restraint. She takes and she takes and she takes and she keeps winning anyway. She changes the game. She plays and she raises the stakes. And if there's a reason, she seems to thrive when so few survive, then Goddamnit-I'M WILLING TO WAIT FOR IT!", Adriana yelled the last part and slammed her book closed and the ink spilled all over her floor.
"Life doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes
We rise! We fall! And if there's a reason I'm still alive, when so many others have died, then I'm willin' to-"Adriana looked at her mess and almost burst into tears and whispered yelled,
"Wait for it...."
"Wait..."
~
This was actually really fun. I keep imagining Adriana with blonde hair but then I drew her with brown hair so I can't choose. But anyways, I had to use the wait because it adds a connection, and if you know Hamilton, you'll know why.
I also wrote the chapter like this because inside I'm slowly breaking so I wanted to show that side in this song since it makes sense. It's also almost summer while I'm writing this and while I publish this there'll only be one more day left of school for me so YAY!
