Christmas Already!

I can't believe it's already December. Half of the school year is almost over. When I got to the bus stop, I waited for my friends to get here. I was the first one there. When I saw Tyler walking down the street, a girl ran up beside him, and they held hands. I got a clearer look of who the girl was, it was Emalee. When they got to the bus stop I immediately asked,"Are you guys together!" They looked at each other, and Emalee said,"Well. Yes, yes we are!" She said excitedly. Omg yass! Finally they're together! "When did he ask you?" I asked surprised."On Thanksgiving day, we hung out a lot throughout the week, and I felt like it was the perfect time to ask her." Tyler said proudly."Well, I'm so happy you guys are together! Are you gonna tell people?" They both looked at each other again, and said 'yes'. Well that's something nice to come back to. It was supposed to snow when we get out of school. I did come prepared though. When I got to school, everyone was buzzing about Tyler & Emalee. Now Tyler did tell me ahead of time that he was getting Emalee something for Christmas. Jamie and I were the only ones that knew that. Jamie promised that he wouldn't tell anyone, and he hasn't. I went up to Artemi to ask him how his break was since Russians don't celebrate Thanksgiving."How was your break?" I asked as Anisimov was translating what I said to Artemi. Then he said something to Anisimov in Russian."He says, 'it was very cold, but it was nice seeing family, and friends'." He responded. So I showed a thumbs up sign, and said 'cool'. I know I had fun in St.Louis. Christmas is in about 3 weeks from now. I know the school year has gone by so fast. Our school has little videos that we make that are called broadcasts. I'm in that class, we basically make stupid, funny skits, and make fools of ourselves. Of course Teuvo was in broadcast, it's another way he can act like an idiot. We talk about events that are occurring at our school. It's really fun. "Are you getting Courtney anything for Christmas?" I asked Andrew at hockey practice."Yeah, I plan on getting her a beautiful bracelet, with her name on it. You think she'll like it?" He said,"Aww, that's sweet. And yes, she'll love it." "You sure, I don't see her wear very much jewelry." "I promise you she'll love it, and wear it." I assured him. Every boyfriend was getting something for there girlfriends. How sweet of the boys. Can't wait till Christmas!

Today was the Friday before Christmas break, and it was snowing. I got a ride to school today. When I got there I sat with Kayla & Emalee. I couldn't wait to see Tyler give his gift to Emalee. She'll be so happy and joyful. When Tyler got to school he sat by me, in front of Emalee. I whispered to him,"When are you going to give her the present?" He immediately answered back,"I will right now." And he went through his bag to find it."Hey, uh Emalee," he said blushing,"Merry Christmas, here," and he gave her a small box. When she opened it, she looked so surprised. "Wow that's pretty!" Kayla said looking at it next to Emalee."Oh Tyler. You didn't have to." She said still astonished. I looked at Tyler, I knew exactly what he got her. And when I saw it, it was what I thought it was. It was a Dallas Stars symbol made of diamonds, and jewels. Emalee saw that online a few weeks ago, and really wanted it. But it was too much money, so Tyler went and bought it for her, and gave it to her today. "The one she wanted." I told Tyler,"Yep, exactly what she wanted." He responded proudly. They stood up, and hugged from across the table. It was such a cute moment. I knew that later Courtney would be getting a beautiful piece of jewelry as well. When I got to hockey practice I saw Andrew putting Courtney's gift in a small bag. Teuvo looked kind of upset watching, and listening to Andrew talk about Courtney."Teuvo, you ok?" I asked,"I'm fine," he responded,"There are many words behind the word 'fine'." I said. He knew that."I'm kind of jealous of Andrew & Courtney. I mean Andrews my best friend, and he's glued to this girl. I feel like I'm invisible to him, like he doesn't notice I care, and that I'm here, around. It worries me sometimes." I could tell this really bothered him. He looked pretty down about it."Did you ever tell him what you just told me? Maybe he'll realize what he's missing, and try to fix what's wrong. I know you're really down about this, and you really care about Andrew, but do you ever tell him anything? Seems like I'm more your best friend, when you tell me all your thoughts on life. Did you ever realize that? Teuvo, I don't mean to lecture you, but maybe you should tell him you feel that way. I know he'll listen." It was like a miniature lecture. It was awkward for a moment. Teuvo just stood there thinking of what I said, and what he should say next."No, I don't tell him everything. I feel like he won't listen when I do. That's another thing. And I do, now, realize that I tell you everything, and not my so called best friend, Andrew. And when I say so called, that doesn't mean I'm saying he isn't my best friend, cause he is. So are you though. Your my best friend to, and feel like you understand more than Andrew. I'll talk to him after school today. He won't be hanging out with Courtney. We actually planned ahead of time to hangout after school." That was good Teuvo would get a chance to talk to Andrew. "Well that's good you'll be able to talk to him after school. Now try to forget about it, so that your day isn't ruined." I said trying to cheer him up. "Ok, I will." I felt a little upset for Teuvo, but he could find a way to fix his problem. But I have to admit, Andrew is a little attached to Courtney. I don't know if she realizes that, but some people do. When I went to social studies Courtney was wearing the bracelet Andrew got her. It was a cute bracelet. She was happy to have it, she told me. Everybody seemed like they got a gift, even me. When I got to my locker before school got out, I opened it and a little envelope fell out. I immediately picked it up before anyone saw it. When I opened it a little necklace was in it, with a note in it as well. The necklace was a little infinity necklace. It was the most cutest necklace I'd ever seen. The note read- 'Merry Christmas! Hope you like the necklace. I picked it out personally. I hope you have a merry Christmas! Love, Artemi Panarin

It was a very wonderful, and thoughtful thing of Artemi to do. I mean he didn't even have to go buy me anything. It was very cute. I didn't get a chance to say 'thank you', or even talk to him at all. It's alright maybe I'll get a chance over break. Still though, it was a very thoughtful gift.

So Christmas Eve is always a fast and busy day for the Myers. We're always rushing out the door for church, and always rushing to get anywhere. Well today's Christmas Eve, and of course right now we're getting ready for church. My brother an I are always the first to be ready. It's my parents that take forever. Then they always want to take a family picture before we leave. God, I hate Christmas Eve! Can't it just be tomorrow. Of course my brother is a pain, and ha to complain about taking a picture. We're lucky we got to church on time. I sang in the choir, and it made church go by so fast. By the time I knew we were in church we were leaving. We were planning on eating at my cousins house, but there parents, my aunt and uncle, didn't want company at there house. So instead we ate out at a nice restaurant. Of course someone had to get there clothes dirty, and of course it was mine. My cousins, they're brothers, decided to get in an argument. And of course my younger cousin, Owen (he's like a year younger than me), had to be acting like a six year old, threw food at his brother. And of course Liam and I were sitting across from Owen, and when he threw the food it landed on me. It didn't completely leave a stain on my red dress. But it was enough for my mom to scrub out. Not to mention Liam threw food back at Owen, so it was like a food fight. They got in trouble afterwards though. We quickly got back to our house to open 2-3 presents. My aunt Gingers presents are always something that I love. And what she got me was an anime cat beanie, and a shirt with the same cat in a pocket. It was a very smart gift. Knowing that I love cats, and anime it was perfect. I got so much cat stuff. When I opened my grandma gift it was a a stuffed animal cat the she made of yarn. It looked just like my cat Cooper, and my brother got one just like mine, but it looked like our other cat Mayer. It was another typical Myers Christmas Eve. Tomorrow will be better though. I mean, it will be Christmas! I tried falling asleep, but that was really hard when knowing its Christmas tomorrow. I did sleep because the next thing I know, I'm waking up to a white Christmas. It had snowed last night, and my brother was already up. He practically dragged my parents an I out of bed. I'm not gonna go into detail on all our gifts, but I did get a nice new hockey stick and helmet. I also got a Patrick Sharp jersey, a Blackhawk one not a Stars one. And with that jersey was a T.J. Oshie t-shirt, a Blues on not a Capitals one. Yes my two favorite players in the NHL got traded, and I liked the old teams they were on. My new hockey shirts can go with my Antoine Roussel jersey and t-shirt. He's my favorite on the Stars back in Dallas. I also got a new phone! Now I can get rid of my old phone. My brother got more video games, and a Cody Eakin jersey, he plays for the Stars as well. It was a very merry Christmas, not to mention my mom had so much fun making dinner with my grandma, aunts, and I. Meaning she actually didn't have fun making dinner, she actually had trouble making dinner. My typical mother. But it was fun hanging out watching Christmas movies with my cousins. I love Christmas gatherings with my family. Later that night I had to listen, and watch my dad and uncle beat my brother and cousin Owen 12-3 at NHL16. It was hilarious, all my cousin did was talk smack about how they were gonna win, but they ended up losing miserably! Anyway I told my mom about the necklace Artemi gave me, and she thought it was cute. I still have to talk to him. I think I will next week.
