CHAPTER SEVEN

Arnold's POV

I guess meddle in someone else business have it's price to pay, but whatever happened I regret nothing, I don't regret saving Jake even it means being kicked out from this school, I mean I don't mind there's a lot of school that I can go to.

That's why I'm here in the chancellor office and I can hear people outside the office making ruckus, curious on what's going on inside.

I looked at Professor Castro and I really want to wiped the smirk on the bastards face, while looking at me.

I can still see the bruises in his body and I think he deserves more from taking advantage of Jake's weakness, he seems to be showing off those bruises by wearing a white polo shirt, while telling his side of the story.

"I don't know what gotten to this boy sir? I mean I was just going to my car when he assaulted me and started beating me, I don't know what gotten to him." he said trying to act innocent, trying to look like a saint.

I just shook my head hearing the lies that's coming out from this bastard's mouth, and it took me a great deal of will power for me not to strangle the man right there and then. "The Nerve of this man." I said to myself

The chancellor is listening to his explanation intently and I can tell from his face that he is weighing his decision.

I tried to ignore his lies and decided to look around, aside from me, the bastard and the chancellor, there are two other people inside the office.

Jane the secretary, and Ron the Student body President which is my friend as well standing in my behalf.

Our eyes met and I can't help but smile at him, and saw him tried hard to fight the urge to smile since he is trying to maintain his serious look.

"Ok Mr. Saavedra, let me hear your side of the story then." Chancelor Sy said looking at me after hearing Professor Castro's side.

I just remained silent since I don't want people to know what really happened between him and Jake, for Jake's sake.

Jake had so much to deal with and I don't want people to talked ill about him once the news that he was abused come out, so I opted to remained quiet and take full responsibility of my action.

For the first time I saw him smile and again I want wiped that smile from his face, and my mind is thinking of a way for this bastard to be terminated because he might try to abuse Jake again.

"Mr, Saavedra, what's the reason why you assaulted Professor Castro?" he asked without living my face.

"He deserves it." I said coldly and saw disappointment in Chancellor's face.

"Mr. Saavedra, if you're not going to depend yourself then there's nothing else I can do but to dismissed you from this school." he said.

I just shrugged my shoulder as if caring less what will happen to me once I get kicked out from this school, and I can see an evil grin from Professor Castro's face.

Chancellor Sy took a deep breath and he seems to be ready to pass the judgement, when Ron stood up.

"Chancelor Sy Sir, let me talk to Arnold first." Ron said waiting for an approval, which Chancelor Sy granted.

Rod guided me to an empty cubicle and talked to me.

"Dude, do you really want to be kicked out? He needs to know the reason why you beaten up Professor Castro and I know that you have your reason so you need to speak up." Ron said, convincing me to change my decision.

"It's not important to me anymore Ron, there are still other school that will accept me." I said trying to lighten the situation but Ron didn't buy it.

"I'm dead serious here man, I know you, you are not the type of person that will beat someone for just the heck of it." he said.

I felt a little guilty since Ron is trying to do everything just to help me. "I can't talk Ron, I'm protecting someone." I just said and saw disappointment in his face.

So we went back to the Chancellor's office, and waited for the Chancellor's decision when we heard ruckus outside the office.

"Let me pass!" a voice outside the office said and I immediately recognized that voice.

"There's an admin hearing going on so you cannot get in." a man outside said.

"I need to talk to Chancellor Sy, he needs to know the truth." Jake said trying to get inside.

I can't believe Jake is actually standing in front of me, after the chancellor order for him to come in, I can see fear in Professor Castro's face and sweat all over his face.

"Who are you young man?" the chancellor said looking straight to Jake.

"My name is Jake Angelo, a freshman from the Architecture Department, and a student of Professor Castrp." Jake said without blinking an eye.

"And what exactly do you know about this incident?" Chancellor Sy asked.

"The real reason why Arnold beaten Professor Castro was because.... because." I can see the pain in his face remembering that incident.

"It's because Professor Castro tried to rape me." he said looking afraid and determined at the same time.

"That's a lie!" That kid is lying!" Professor Castro shouted all composure gone in an instance.re gone.

I really don't know what happens next because all my attention is with Jake who seems to be trembling from the trauma of relieving the incident.

"We will have an investigation about it and we will tell you the decision once we have all the necessary information." Chancelor Sy said dismissing us all.

I tried to follow him, but Jake left without a word, which confuses me.

Seven days have passed and finally Chancellor Sy reached a decision, and he dismissed Professor Castro on the spot and the evil Professor was escorted by the police, specially now that there are other's who came out to testify.

"Congratulation Due." Ron said, didn't leave my side throughout the hearing.

"Thanks for all your help man, I owe you one." I said and hurriedly left when I saw Jake walking away.

"Jake wait!" I called him while trying to catch up to him.

He suddenly stopped but he still didn't look at me.

"I just like to say thank you, for testifying." I said embarrassed while scratching my nose.

"No problem." he said coldly which confuses me since I thought everything is ok between us.

"Uhm... can we be friends now?" I asked him while raising my hand for him to shake hands but he didn't take it.

Finally he look at me and I can't believe the cold stare that he gave me.

"It's better for us not to see each other." he said which confuses me.

I can't believe how Jake acted. I felt pain from the rejection that I got from him. I just stared at his back until I no longer see his figure dumbstruck on just what happened.
