CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Arnold's POV

"Hay..." I sighed since I didn't see Jake last Sunday because I saw my mom off to the airport going to Paris that day. I will surely miss her since every time I have problems or even just I'm not in the mood she always know how to brighten my day. 

I woke up the following day still not in the mood and just want to goof off but after realizing that it's Monday and we have school, meaning I will be seeing Jake it felt like I took ten bottles of energy drink with the energy that I have thinking about the guy.

I get readied to go to school, while preparing myself I can't help but whistle a popular tune, and it made me wonder what's gotten into me.

Eversince I met the gloomy, and aloof Jake Angelo, something has changed within me which I can't put my finger on.

"What should I use?" I asked myself thinking what ride should use.

I decided to go to school using my red Ducati bike since it's my favorite ride and it's much convenient to travel from my place to school.

It just took me fifteen minutes before I arrived at the school ground, aside from the speed of my bike it also me time because I can easily passed any traffic.

After the guard greeted me, I went straight and parked my bike in my usual spot in the parking lot and sometimes it made me wonder why no one dares to take this spot.

I checked my Tag Heuer watch and saw that it's just six in the morning, class usually starts around seven am, so I still have one hour to spend.

I saw the guys in our usual spot, Louie, and Ken but I didn't see Larry with them, I know it's been a long time since I spend time with them and I know I need to amend to that.

"Hi guys what's up?" I asked them giving both of them high five.

"Nothing much, we're just thinking of a movie to watch later since the class will end early due to the teachers meeting later, do you want to come?." Louie said.

"I see, is that today?  Sure count me in, and by the way where's Larry?" I asked them.

"I don't know as well but he told me that he is going to be absent for three days, I don't why since Larry is being secretive this past few days." Ken said busy playing with his PSP.

"But haven't you guys noticed that Larry is being problematic this past few days?" Louie said looking at us for any confirmation.

"Uhm to be honest I'm not really sure." I replied and somehow it made me a little guilty considering that I am his best friend since my whole attention is with Jake.

"I definitely need to make up with him." I said to myself and noticed Jake walking from the gate.

"Wait guys, need to meet someone." I said and didn't wait for their response.

"Good morning Jake"" I greeted and saw him smile seeing me and why is that it felt like the whole surrounding became brighter.

"Good morning to you too Arnold." he answered back.

And then an idea pop to my head. "Come Jake let me introduce you to my friends." I said but saw uncertainty in his eyes.

"Uhm maybe next time." he said clearly trying to avoid my friends.

And being Arnold Saavedra I don't really take no for an answer, so I hold him in his right hand and pulled him towards my friends.

The first time that our skin touched I felt a ticklish spark between us which I just ignored thinking that it might just be static.

He tried to pull away his hand which made me hold his hand tighter and just continued dragging him to where my friends are.

"Hey guys! I want you to meet my new friend Jake Angelo." I said introducing Jake to Louie and Ken.

He gave them a small wave of his hand and I can see the uneasiness in Jakes face waiting for them two say anything and being a pranksters they are they didn't say anything.

They just stared at Jake without muttering any word.

I can see sweat forming from Jake's forehead because of the anxiety that he might be feeling since both of them remained quiet.

"Hey guys, cut it off." I said stopping them from tormenting Jake, and finally I heard them chuckled.

Most people think that our group are snobs and boastful seeing that we keep to ourselves but we are actually approachable and nice and we don't really look at people on their status since Ken is from a poor family.

"Hi Jake I'm Louie." Louie said shaking Jake's hand.

"Hi dude welcome to the gang, Ken by the way." Ken said smiling at Jake.

Since it's still early we were able to convinced Jake to stay and have a chat with us, I can still see that he is still not that comfortable with the guys but I know he will loosen up with them eventually.

"About the movie that we're going watch any suggestion?" I said asking no one in particular looking at Ken and Louie.

"Uhm how about Oblivion of Tom Cruise." Jake said, speaking for the first time.

"Oh right I totally forgot that it's already out, I want to see that movie." I said backing up Jake's suggestion and saw them nod in approval.

So we decided to watch the movie later after class in SM North Edsa.

We decided to part way and go to our designated classrooms.

While walking going to my first class I received a text message from my mom.

"Hi son, already here in Paris and it's really beautiful, I just hope that you're here with me so we can spend time together." she texted.

"Miss you already mom, yeah it's too bad that I can't go with you, already here at school. I replied back.

"Ok take care son, I love you." she texted which put a smile on my face, I went inside after texting her one more time.

Once inside I was immediately bombarded with questions about the upcoming game this coming Friday afternoon against another private school somewhere in Manila.

"Coach Ravena is quite confidence with our team and he think that we are in our best condition, so yeah I think we will definitely win this game." I said which awarded me cheers from my classmates.

I can't help but smile looking at my classmates already celebrating, and to think that I was almost kicked out from the school, it's a good thing that Jake stood up for me telling what really happened between he and Professor Castro and I know it's not easy on his part reliving the traumatic event.

Our Prof for Psychology finally arrived and the start of a boring lecture follows, it's a good thing that there is something that I'm looking forward to do later and that is to watch movie with my friends and Jake.

And with that a smile formed in my lips and I can already imagine myself seating beside Jake inside the cinema.
