CHAPTER ELEVEN

Jake's POV

I still can't believe the stubbornness of this guy seeing that he really waited for me until my shift ended, But since I am more stubborn than he is, I decided to stay at work even though my shift already ended three pm.

I didn't go out until around five pm when I my manager finally noticed that I'm still in the store wearing my uniform.

"Jake what are you still doing here?" Ma'am Rose asked me when she saw me still cleaning the glass windows outside.

"I'm just finishing this Ma'am and also I want to learned more." I told her smiling and saw an approval from her eyes, but the real reason why I decided to stay late is to see how patient Arnold can be, waiting for me.

At around five pm I decided to leave the store, spending two hour work without pay since it's me who decided to extend for another two hours.

I changed my from uniform to the clothes that I was wearing earlier, and said my goodbye to our store manager.

My eyes wandered to the few people eating in the restaurant and saw that Arnold is nowhere to be found, but instead of feeling happy about it, how is that I'm feeling sad not seeing Arnold waiting for me.

"Well it's a good thing that he already left, good riddance." I said to myself and had my bag checked from the store guard before I left the store.

My heart did a somersault after seeing Arnold waiting for me in front of Dunkin Donuts inside the Mall.

Both hands in both his pockets, smiling at me boyishly which made him more strikingly good looking, I can't help myself but stared at his handsome face.

But since I'm in my snobbish mode, I showed him a frown expression while looking at him.

"I can't believe how annoying you can be!" I snarled at him and was surprised when he gave me his most dashing smile instead of a worried look.

"There are lots of people who's telling me that I am such a stubborn man but at the same time charming." he said jokingly but I'm not buying.

I tried to ignore him and decided to walked really fast, but he immediately caught up with me.

"So are you ready for our date?" he asked still smiling with his boyish smile in his face.

I tried to ignore him but he keeps on pestering me with the same questions for almost thirty minutes now.

"Just ignore him Jake, eventually he will get tired from following you." I keep telling myself. "Damn if the bus stop is not too far away, I already got away from this bastard." I said to myself.

After ten minutes of nonstop question asking me the same question of "Are you ready for our date." I finally stopped abruptly and so did Arnold looking me in the eyes with hopes in his eyes.

"How long are going to follow me and asked me the same question?" I asked irritated while massaging my forehead.

"As long as you can finally agree to go out with maybe until we reached your bording house." he said smiling as if expecting my defeat.
