1997

Stevie Nicks hadn't seen Lindsey Buckingham in years. Tonight they had just finished filming The Dance.
Everything was on point; the magic of the Mac could be felt throughout the entire room.
Also, Stevie felt a connection with Lindsey on that stage that she hadn't felt in years; almost like electricity.

If she was honest with herself, she would admit that she was still in love with him. She wondered if he felt the same.

Later that night, Stevie sat on the bed of her hotel room writing in her journal.
A knock on the door pulled her out of her thoughts.
She stood up and grabbed her robe and wrapped it around herself.
She looked through the peephole. She took a breath and opened the door.
"Good evening Lindsey." She said with a smile on her face.
"Good evening Stevie." He smiled right back.
Stevie opened the door wider to let Lindsey in.

They sat on the sofa that was in the room and talked about the show they just did. They laughed and talked about old times.

After another hour, Lindsey reached over and caressed Stevie's cheek; he leaned in and kissed her lips.
Their kiss deepened; next thing they knew, they had taken off each other's clothes and made their way to the bed.
They made love like there was no tomorrow. Both climaxed one after the other, calling out each other's names.

As they laid in bed both were trying to catch their breath. Stevie laid her head on Lindsey's chest.
He wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head.

As Stevie drifted off to sleep, her last thought was maybe, this could be their second chance to be together. This could be a whole new beginning for them. She fell asleep feeling content and smile on her face.

The day, they woke up in each other's arms. Another love session had ensued; it was quick, once again, both getting their release one after the other.

Lindsey was very quiet. Stevie was getting worried because he hadn't spoken a word after their session.
He began to dress picking up his clothes from the floor.
Stevie stood up and wrapped her robe around her and tied it.
"Lindsey, are you alright?" She asked timidly.
He looked up and after putting on his shoes, he took her hand and led her to sit in the sofa.
"Stevie, I have to tell you something." He said.
Stevie's brow furrowed, not sure what to expect.
"I don't know how to tell you this..." He took a deep breath and said. "I'm getting married in two weeks."
Stevie felt like the air got knocked out of her.
"You...what? Why didn't you tell me before?! You had sex with me, twice knowing you were getting married! I would have never had sex with you had I known!"
"I'm sorry, I should have told you before but everything felt right tonight. And that's why I didn't tell you; I wanted to have one last night with you." Lindsey said trying to hold her hand again.
She pushed him away and stood up wrapping her arms around herself. "One last night with me? Do you know how that sounds? Do you know how that makes me feel?"
She felt the tears forming in her eyes but she didn't want to cry in front of him.
"Steph, please just..." Lindsey tried to speak as he stood up.
"No! You don't get to call me that ever again! Get out! Just get out!" Stevie yelled pushing him towards the door.
Lindsey didn't try to stay, he let her push him out the door.
Stevie slammed the door in his face. He stood there for a moment, his head hung low; "What have I done?" He thought to himself.

Stevie ran to the bed and curled up into a ball and cried. How could she have allowed herself to even think there was a possibility that she and Lindsey could have been together again?
How could she have thought that Lindsey still loved her?
She laid there for hours until she had no more tears to cry. She stared at the wall; her heart was broken, she felt that there was no chance it could ever be repaired. She felt used because of his words about wanting one last night with her. How could he say that to her? Didn't he know that she was a human being who had feelings?

Hours passed and most of the band left their hotel and flew back to their homes.
Only Christine had stayed behind; she and Stevie were supposed to have a girls only getaway in a secluded beach in Hawaii for a couple of weeks.
Christine began to worry about Stevie, they were supposed to catch their flight in an hour and she hadn't heard from Stevie in all day.
Even Karen, Stevie's assistant was worried. Karen and Christine made their way towards Stevie's hotel room. Karen had an extra key to Stevie's room so they went right in.
They found Stevie still curled up in a ball staring at the wall.
Christine and Karen spoke to her but didn't get any response. They tried to shake her out of whatever she was in but still nothing.
They managed to get her out of the ball she had curled herself in but all she did was lay there and stared at nothing. Karen checked her pulse; she breath a sigh of relief. Stevie was alive but why was she not moving.

Christine and Karen gave each other a look. Both of their eyes filled with tears. They didn't know what do; they tried everything to get through to Stevie.
A few more minutes passed when they had no choice but to call for an ambulance.

Christine cried all the way to hospital. She was really worried about her best friend who's she's known for many years. What could have happened to cause Stevie to end up in this state?
Christine prayed with all her might that Stevie would get through this.
