*5 months later*
Lindsey held his baby son in his arms; his son looked up at him with his mother's big brown eyes that he loved so much.
The baby looked at his father and cooed.
Lindsey was so in love with him; he had never felt such love like this before.
This type of love was indescribable.
Lindsey began to talk to his son; the baby was named Liam.
Liam continued his baby babble as if he understood what his father was saying.
"Liam, what are you trying to tell daddy?" Lindsey chucked.
Liam smiled then he began to calm down. He soon got quiet.
Lindsey could tell what he was feeling.
In these past few months, it's as if Liam could tell someone was missing.
"I miss her too buddy." Lindsey said softly.
"Alright, let's get you a bottle and let's get you in bed."
Lindsey warmed up some milk for Liam then fed him the bottle of milk.
Lindsey rocked back and forth; he sang softly to his son and after Liam was burped, he drifted off to sleep.
After laying Liam in his bassinet, Lindsey sat on the bed and thought of the last few months.
Everything seemed to be blur after the paramedics got to Stevie and started to work on her.
He was vaguely aware that Kristen was being led away in handcuffs.
In those months that followed, Kristen was taken to a psychiatric hospital to get the help she so desperately needed.
Once her head was clear, she realized what she had done. Her wanting a baby of her own clouded her judgement and she spiraled out of control.
She felt extreme remorse and regret for what she did to Stevie.
Kristen filed for divorce and in a few short weeks she and Lindsey were officially divorced.
Kristen was still getting the help she needed and was now living in a treatment center.
Lindsey was brought out of his thoughts when he heard the door open.
He looked up and smiled.
He stood up and walked over to the person that walked in.
"How was the show tonight?" Lindsey asked.
"It was wonderful! Now, where's my son! I've missed him." Stevie said walking over to the bassinet.
She bent down and picked up Liam in her arms.
She made sure not to wake him and sat on the sofa that was in their hotel room.
Stevie smiled as she looked down at her sleeping baby boy.
Lindsey sat next to her, he felt complete, even though he and Stevie weren't officially together, for now they were co-parenting, he had never been happier.
Stevie caressed Liam's cheek and she thought about these past few months.
Once they had gotten Stevie to the hospital, they were able to save her life. She had flatlined on the way to hospital but the paramedics worked their hardest to bring her back. Which by some miracle they did.
Stevie was in the hospital for a few days then was released with baby Liam in her arms.
Liam was two months old when Stevie decided, with Lindsey's help of convincing her, she decided to release her Enchanted Box set in April followed by a tour starting off in May.
Lindsey had convinced Stevie to do the tour; he had put all of her worries at ease when he suggested he would travel with her so he could take care of Liam while she did sound checks and performed her shows.
Liam did well traveling but for the first month of the tour he could sense his mother wasn't with him all the time. He would be fussy until Stevie came back to the hotel room they would be staying in.
Now however he did really well but would still miss her while she was gone.
Liam began to stir; he opened his brown eyes and saw Stevie's face.
Liam's face lit up; he reached up and rested his little hand on her cheek and baby talked to her.
"Hi baby! Mommy missed you." Stevie said lovingly. She kissed his forehead. "Mommy didn't mean to wake you."
Lindsey wiped away a tear that slipped down his cheek.
Stevie noticed. "Lindsey? What's wrong?"
"I just...Stephanie, I'm so sorry for what I put you through. I'm sorry hurting you. I was fool and...a coward. And to think I was so close to losing you...I can't..." Lindsey said as fresh tears rolled down his cheeks.
Stevie cupped her free hand to Lindsey's cheek.
"But you didn't...I'm right here holding our son in my arms."
"I know...it's just...Steph...I want us to be more than what we are now." Lindsey said. "You don't have to give me an answer right now but..." Lindsey stood up and got down on one knee. "Stephanie Lynn Nicks...I love you with all my heart. I know I've messed up and...I've learned my lesson. I don't want to take you for granted anymore...I realized I can't be without you ever again." He stopped and pulled out a black velvet box then opened it to reveal an elegant diamond ring. "Will you marry me?"
Stevie had tears rolling down her cheeks.
She chewed on the inside of her cheek; she took took a breath and said. "Yes...yes Lindsey! I will marry you."
As much as Lindsey hurt her; Stevie still loved him. She slowly was able to forgive him and now had opened up her heart to him.
Lindsey smile was wide; he took the ring out of the box then placed it on her left hand ring finger.
He stood up then sat back down next to Stevie and kissed her lips.
She kissed him back for a moment before being interrupted by a tiny hand hitting Lindsey's face.
Stevie broke away and laughed. "Oh oh Linds...it looks like someone is jealous!"
Lindsey chuckled and took Liam's hand in his. "Get used it son...mommy's mine too now...forever."
Stevie smiled at Lindsey then leaned in to kiss his lips once more then said. "Forever."
