A month later...

It was scorching in the RED base. The A.C. wasn't working and everyone was sweating bucketfulls. The Administrator decided to let them go to a private beach for the week. Everyone was excited for their vacation. They packed everything they needed for the trip, but soon realized something. "How we gonna get there", Scout asked. Echo and Engie smiled at each other. "We already thought of that, so Engie set up a teleporter that will take us to our destination", Echo said with a smirk on her face. She led them to the teleporter and told everyone to go in one at a time. She went last and they all arrived in the beach house. It was ginormous, with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and a room for each of the mercs, with their own private bathroom. They all settled into their rooms and got their swimsuits on. All of the men had swim trunks, and Echo had a plain black bikini that was a little too small for her chest and showed off all her tattoos. Before any of them could get out the door, Medic stopped them. "Did you all put sunscreen on?" They all groaned "Yes, Medic" while rolling their eyes. They soon got to the beach and set everything up. Echo was feeling daring, so she brought out sunscreen and looked at them with a devilish look in her eyes. "Who's gonna rub sunscreen on my back?" Only Pyro volunteered, the others just blushed. Its gloved hand rubbed the cream on her back and left to make sand castles. She brought out her holo-pad and read some stories. The men where jumping off some rocks near the shore. The truth was that Echo didn't know how to swim. She did live in a coastal city, but in her time, every single city in the world is floating 5 miles above the stratosphere, so she didn't know much about the surface. She saw small flashes of lightning and heard the clap of thunder, not knowing what it was. She told Scout that she couldn't swim, but he didn't believe her. Soldier soon came by and flung her over his shoulder, while she screamed at him to let her go. He made it to the rocks and flung her into the water. She tried to keep her head above the water, but she kept sinking. Scout's eyes widened. "Oh my God, she wasn't kidding", he screamed. He called for Medic and Medic dove into the water. Echo had already sunk deep into the water and wasn't moving. He grabbed her by the waist and brought her back to shore. He laid her down on the sand and started performing CPR. Her eyes opened after a while and she felt Medic's lips on her own. She was filled with shock, but let him continue. He stopped when he saw that her eyes had opened. She got up, her cheeks burning. "You can't swim?", Medic said. "If I knew how to swim, I wouldn't have drowned, now would I", she said, pointing out the obvious. So Medic spent the entire time teaching her to swim.
