Ava's Pov:

"Sorry, Zack." I say, nudging Zayn playfully so he knows that I am full aware of what his real name is now. "Well, I will see you around." I say, looking back at Lily who is standing behind me awkwardly, staring down at the blank screen on her phone.

"Yeah, definitely." He smiles and nods towards Lily as I thank her for the hot chocolate, letting the warm liquid slide down my throat and ease my stress.

As soon as Lily and I step outside of the Starbucks' building, Lily stops, turning to me, "Oh, somebody has a lover!" She says, dancing around and spilling hot chocolate on her skin, making her curse under her breath as I laugh in the distance.

"No, we're just being friendly." I protest, Lily still insisting that Zayn likes me. "Can two people be friendly to each other and not be in a relationship for just once?" I complain, making a pouty face. It's so true though, if you are nice to a guy and the guy is nice back to you, people automatically think that you two like each other. It's screwed up, in my opinion.

We walk back to college, which is only about a fifteen minute walk, and by the time we come back we are both done with our hot chocolates and we toss them in the trashcan, still having an hour to spare on our hands. Lily and I decide to find Miranda, a friend we had quickly grown fond of. It takes us about ten minutes to find the tan dark haired girl. We really need to all exchange our numbers, and that is what we do once we all meet up.

"I can't believe you met up with Louis." Miranda exclaims, the same look of disapproval that Lily had shown the other day.

"How do you know?" I say, exchanging glances with Lily and Lily shrugs, staring past me.

"When I went shopping yesterday Miranda came and I told her you went to the railroad tracks to go meet Louis. It's not that big of a deal." She mumbles, crossing her arms and looking down.

"Yes, it is." Miranda interrupts before I have a chance to speak, "I told you not to get involved with Louis and you did."

Lily opens her mouth but I stare at her and she shuts up, "Well, I will make my own decisions." I state.

"Yes, you will. All of them won't be necessarily smart, though." Miranda fires back at me, she's defiantly the more sassy one out of our little group. She is older, maybe that's why.

"I don't think meeting up with Louis was a bad choice," I lie, I know deep down that it really wasn't smart to meet up with him, and I should've never gone, but I did anyways.

"Fine, whatever." Miranda shrugs, "Anyways, that's not the point. Have any of you met Liam yet? He's also a sophomore in college."

Lily and I shake our heads no, "Oh, I really need to introduce you guys. Come on." She says, grabbing our arms and pulling us towards the dorm rooms.

"Where are we going?" Lily speaks up, Miranda finally letting us go and letting us fend for ourselves.

"The dorms." She says as if she was stating the obvious.

"We are going to Liam's dorm?" I say, choking on my words. "Is that an invasion of privacy?"

"He doesn't care." Stopping, she bangs on the door we stand in front of, the door swinging open almost immediately.

"Ugh." A brunette haired male groans, stepping out of the way and letting us in, eyeing Lily and I. "You brought friends." He says, staring at me for awhile before turning his gaze back to Miranda.

"Yeah, this is Lily," she remarks, pointing to the small blonde, "and this is Ava." She says, pointing to me.

"It's a pleasure." He smiles widely, flaunting off his white teeth. "So, what brought you here?" He turns to me, "I haven't seen you around."

"A car." I say sarcastically, watching his facial features soften and his lips curl upwards into a laugh.

"I would've never guessed."

"Okay, okay." Lily butts in our conversation, "we have to go get ready for class. All of us." She says, heading towards the door and pulling me with her before I even had a chance to say goodbye. I hear Miranda and Liam exchange a few words and then I hear her footsteps behind us as we exit the building.

"Why are you in such a rush?"

"I just don't want to be late."

We all head to our dorms, collecting our stuff and heading off to our first period. I had just remembered that Lily, Miranda, Louis, and I all shared the same class. I wasn't looking forward to seeing Louis, honestly. Last night was awkward and an uncomfortable experience and I don't want him to try and talk to me today.

Lily and Miranda decide to head to the restroom first for a fix up and I tell them that I will meet them in class. While I was walking, it's no surprise that Louis starts walking besides me.

"About last night," he begins.

"Save it, Louis." I give out a heavy, exaggerated sigh.

"Just let me speak for a second." He snaps, watching me shrink down, letting him talk. "You never answered my question about you're wrist."

"What question?" I act oblivious.

"Really, Ava? Don't play games with me."

I turn my head to face him, dumb founded. "Me? Playing games with you? Ha!" Laughing in his face just makes his eyes cloud with more anger then they are already used to, "If anyone is playing a game, whatever game this is, it's you."

"I'm not playing games." He says, trying to keep his voice at a minimum while clenching his fists in little balls, his veins popping out through his tattooed skin.

"Yes, you are, Louis." Is he really that clueless about the way he acts? I feel like he doesn't know what he actually says, or does. It's like he has a short term memory.

We both stop, right outside the classroom door before he stares at me, dangerously close. I can feel his hot breath on my forehead, tingling my skin but I refuse to look up at his face, letting him tower above me before he finally speaks, his words digging under my skin, leaving goose bumps.

"You want to play games? I'll give you something to play."
