He better not have said what I think he just said.
"Excuse me?!" I whirl around to face Cy, who is not standing right behind me.
"I said I'd help too," He shrugs.
"I don't think tha-"
"Great! Thanks!"
Now Dipper better not have said what I think _he_ said.
"He's coming too?!" I turn back to Dipper, who shrugs.
"Why not? The more help we have..." He shrugs.
I sigh. Looks like I'm dealing with him after all.We arrive at the Woodstick festival at roughly the same times the others, though in different groups. Thompson arrive shortly after us, dragging Wendy, Lee, and Nate after him, complaining about how they would miss the concert. Right before us arrived Tambry and Robbie, doing whatever it is couples of their type do at festivals.
Then there's us. Dipper, Mabel, Me....and, regrettably, Cy.
"Ugh, they're doing that couple hug walk..." Dipper groan, looking to Tambry and Robbie. "Guys you're in public!" He calls. "People can see you!"
"Dipper, come on," Mabel whispers, dragging him after the rest of us.
"Okay, you two distract him," Dipper tells Cy and I. "Mabel and I'll get the potion."
I suddenly find myself in a headlock. "No problem, kid."
"A bit of a problem, actually," I growl, shoving him away and out of the bushes. "Dipper, does it have to be me?"
"Yes, now go!" He shoves me out of the bushes after Cy, but my foot catches on a root.
"Gah!" I trip, falling over out of the bushes. Someone catches me, and I instantly wish I had hit the ground instead of having to look up at Cy.
"Careful," He grins. I glare back, standing up on my own, turning red in embarrassment as I see Love God looking at us. It's silent for a second.
"Well, it looks like I'm not needed here! Match premade!" Love God says suddenly.
"Wait, WHAT?!" I shriek, feeling my face grow even redder.
I hear a snicker from the bushes.
"Dipper, you can shut up!" I look to Cy, hoping he's just as against this assumption as I am.
He's not. He's just standing there, grinning like an idiot.
I proceed to smack him upside the head, my six-fingered hand flying out of my sweater sleeve. "Forget it!"
As i walk away, I hear Love God yelling at Dipper and Mabel. I turn to see all three run off.
I sigh and run after them."Go away!" I tell Cy, shoving through the crowd the twins and the singer are currently surfing. He ignores and continues to follow me as they pass over us. "Dang it..." I mutter, the cause as much not having lost him yet as I have to push back through the crowd.
When I finally reach them, they've retrieved a vial of a black liquid and Mabel's screwing on a spray cap.
"Just one clean shot to the back of their heads and everything's fixed!" She turns, giving a short practice spray in the air.
"Gah!" I duck out of the way. The spray hits Cy full in the face. Now that I needed.
"Oops!" Mabel gasps. "Sorry Connie!"
"It's good, let's g-"
"Sorry, kids," I hear a call behind us. I turn again to see Love God flying after us. With those things?! I thought they were fake! "But you've left me no choice. Visions of heartbreak past!"
Mabel and I are surrounded by the pink smoke he somehow summons.
I cough, clearing the smoke. "Ugh... that all you-" I cough again. "Got? Pink smoke?" I turn back to Mabel, only to find her surrounded by the puppet guy, a random boy band, and a mermaid, all made of the pink smoke
"We're back Mabel."
"We like you now."
"Yes. Definitely. Absolutely!"
"Ha! You really think we'd fall for that?" Dipper laughs, punching one of the boys who just spoke.
Mabel isn't paying attention, distracted by her "crushes."
"Mabel!" Dipper groans.
"They're not real!" I continue. "Don't give them the-"
"Hey." I freeze. He's here. He's here now. Right here. Right in front of Dipper and Mabel. I feel my face grow red as I turn around. "Hey, Police Box." Bill greets me again."Wh-what are you doing here?!" I stammer.
"Couldn't stay away from you, love!" He spins me around, bending over and pulling me into a dip. If my face could grow any more red, it's doing it right now.
"Wait, what?" I look over at Dipper, who's staring in confusion, as well as half amusement. "First off, this isn't real, and second...I thought you hated him?"
"Do you even-" I glance past Bill. At Cy, leaning against one of the snack stands. "Oh, gosh..." In a puff of the pink smoke, Bill disappears and I fall to the ground. At least, the fake one. It's him! I silently freak out. Cy is Bill! That's why he's so familiar!
Dipper offers a hand to help me up. More than a little distracted, I take it and stand.
"What..." I look down. Dipper's staring at my six fingers. Quickly, I pull my hand away, shoving it in my pocket.
Then I stop again, slightly panicked. "Did he say heartbreaks past?!" Dipper shrugs, then we turn to see Mabel giving the bottle to one of her illusions.
"Mabel!"
"It's not real!" We both try to stop her, but the illusions disappear and the Love God is holding the vial.
"Ugh! Curse my over-sized heart," Mabel scolds herself
"Sorry, kids, but that's what happens when you mess with a god," He starts to gloat. "Only a greater being from the heavens themselves could possibly stop-"
He's cut off. By a giant flaming Stan head.
Don't know, don't want to.
"Please be immortal, Please be immortal," Mabel mumbles, crossing her fingers as Dipper and I stare in shock.
The three of us sigh in unison as he crawls out, gasping. "Dude. I am so over this!"
"Love God to the stage. Love God to the stage," An announcer over the P.A. says
"Agh, look kid. Take it, okay. Spray everyone for all I care. You wanna mess with peoples' lives? You wanna play God? Do it. 'Cus I'm sick of it," Love God rants. "Medic! I need onion rings..."
"Haha! Yes!" Dipper and Mabel high five.
"Last I noticed, Robbie and Tambry were up on the hill!" Mabel says. "C'mon!"
I stand still for a second. "I-I'll catch up with you guys later!" I call after them, then turn and walk over to Cy. Or rather, Bill. "It's you isn't it?" I ask, blushing a bit in embarrassment. That was a dumb thing to not notice.
"Wondering when you'd notice..." He smirks.
"Yeah..." I laugh turning away. "I kind of feel dumb now-"
"You should"
