He laughs at my inability to respond. I, on the other end, don't find it very funny. But before I can make a defensive comment, his laughter fades and his eye grow serious.
"I wasn't lying, by the way," he says, his eye meeting mine.
I hesitate again. I feel a human arm around my shoulders, and I try to hide my blush as his human form sits down next to me.
"You keep saying that, but how do I know that isn't a lie?"
"If it was, don't you think you'd already be like Fordsy here?" He knocks on the golden statue of my great-uncle, causing me to purse my lips.
"You know, reminding me of all you've done to torture my family isn't exactly helping your case," I point out.
"Fine," He shrugs. "Even though Shooting Star's still alive-and happy, might I add-in her self-made utopia, those two idiots," He jerks a thump at a partying Teeth and 8-ball. "Failed to take out Pinetree, Sixer's still alive-mostly-and I gotta tell you, I have no idea where Fezzy is, and I don't really care either. I could possibly spare them all..." He trails off. I think I hear him say something else, but he's not talking when I look back to him.
"And what would prompt such an act of 'charity' from Gravity Falls' ' new lord and master for all of eternity' who's supposed to be the merciless bad guy?" I raise an eyebrow.
He rolls his eyes. "Gimme a break," He scoffs. "Is a one time thing, for you."
"For... For me?" He nods, and I bite my lip. Slowly, I lean into him, my head resting on his shoulder. I feel his breathing hitch, and the smallest of shudders runs through his body. I wonder if his heart is beating as fast as mine. Then that just makes me wonder if he has a heart. I push the thought away.
"I..." I pause, trying to grasp the words. "I want to trust you again, Bill. But... I don't know if I can."
"I know," he says softly. "And you have no good reason to, except for what I'm telling you now." He shifts, and I lift my head to look into his eyes. The way he looks at me sets my racing heart into overdrive, my mind a whirlwind of fast-paced thoughts.
"Conifer Pines, I am undeniably, irrevocably, head-over-heels in love with you."
I don't need anyone telling me my face is bright red to know it is as he pulls me closer and places a kiss on my forehead.
I wince as I feel the cut from my nightmares stinging, and I return Pyronica's glare as she stands by the punch bowl. Bill disappears, returning to a triangle in front of her.
"Hey, listen, if you could cut that out for one minute..." He grows larger and red suddenly, his eye a glowing black as his voice deepens menacingly. "That'd be great."

Pyronica, as well as the other demons, is speechless as Bill returns to my side.
"Sorry about that," He rolls his eye.
"Uh... sure. Okay," I nod.
"Listen, you're gonna be here a while, so try to enjoy yourself," Bill jumps down off the platform, then look back up at me expectantly.
"Wait," it takes me a second to realize what he's waiting for. "You want me...to jump?" This has got to be at least a second story height. I'm not exactly acrophobic, but I'm not exactly fully insane yet either. I force a laugh. "I really don't think so."
"I'll catch you. You really think a guy who just confessed his love for you and intimidated a bunch of nightmare creatures  is gonna let you fall?"
"But you still expect me to jump."
He shrugs. "That or hang out with the future throne made of frozen human agony."
I glance behind me as another eyebat flies over, carrying a stone Robbie taking a selfie and placing it on the stack. Then I glance back down at the height and the demons that have resumed the party. I don't care if Bill just told them all to leave me alone. Pyronica is still smoking.
"I'm... fine with the stat-" I start to reply, but an eyebat buzzes by me, causing me to loose my balance. "Wah!" I gasp as I fall off. My fear, however, is short-lived as I land in Bill's arms.
He grins. "Now that wasn't so bad, was it?" I force another laugh as I stand up. "Seriously, how many times are you going to fall today?"
"Har dee har," I huff, leaning against the platform. Then I yawn. I suddenly realize how late it is. There isn't exactly sun to tell the time of day, but Bill's apocalypse was created around late sunset. Today had been particularly taxing with the constant headache of a hundred peoples' thoughts.
"Hm. You look exhausted," Bill sighs, pushing my unruly bangs out of my eyes. "Well, maybe you can join us tomorrow. Goodnight, princess." I blush at the nickname as he snaps his fingers and the room around me vanishes. I reappear in a much smaller room, a bed as the only furnishing. Despite the fact that it's in a crazed palace belonging to an insane demon who may or may not like me in the middle of a town turned into the world's chaos capital, sleep seems incredibly inviting and overcomes me as soon as I lay down.

When I wake up-I would say the next morning, but it's kind of hard to tell, what with the sky being a constant ominous red and all clocks stopped-a door has appeared on the opposite side of the room. Once I go through, it disappears again, leaving me once again surrounded by demons in the main room of the pyramid. The demons don't exactly take note of me, continuing to party as I stay inconspicuously by the bottom of the base of Bill's throne.
Time crawls slowly by, and I'm still just demon-watching in the fearamid. Bill has blocked out the thoughts of the apparently-still-semi-conscious townspeople, leaving my own confusion to fill the space.
He seems so sincere. How can I not believe him?  He just confessed his "undeniable, irrevocable, head-over-heels" love for me. That and he's sparing my family. That whole conversation last night kind of hammered away at my doubts. They're still there, just not quite as strong.
I look up at the forming throne. Bill sits in it, holding the frozen golden Ford. He's semi-conscious, but alive. And he can't exactly get hurt this way either.
Stan is M.I.A. He never appeared during the initiating events of Weirdmaggedon, and he hasn't been added to the throne yet, meaning he's still out there. He can deal with the apocalypse... probably.
And what about Mabel? I glance out a window in the fearamid as it appears. They keep changing shape and location. The large, pink, chained bubble prison in between the UFO cliffs bears the shooting star from her favorite sweater. Bill says she's fine in her utopia... I convince myself I don't need to worry about her. She's probably the least in danger of all of us. What did Bill mean by he had her to thank for getting his hands on the rift?
Then I think about Dipper. The last time we saw each other, one was running for his life while the other was surrounded by demons and freaking out. The last time we talked, it was a loud argument. I don't know where he is, and although Bill's said he'll leave him alone, there's plenty of other weirdmaggedon dangers. He could be dead for all I know.
It bothers me we never got a real chance to sort it out. Would he ever forgive me though? Especially since Bill's now supreme ruler of Gravity Falls and soon the world.
There's only one way to find out, and I'm currently completely incapable of doing it. I don't exactly know how to get back into town, and I don't know where he is, or even if he's still alive.
"Hey there!"
"Gyah!" I jump in surprise as the triangle mastermind of Weirdmaggedon snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Relax! It's just me!" He assures me. "You've been awfully quiet... what's up?"
"I'm... just thinking..."
"Why don't you join the res  of the party?"
"I'm not usually a party person," I shrug. "Especially end of the world chaotic type parties," I gesture to a group of demons spinning Lazy Susan -ha ha, I get it- around while chanting, "Spin the person!" She ends up pointed at Hectorgon, and I jolt in surprise as Pyronica promptly launches her tongue at him and swallows him. whole. "Besides, this isn't exactly what's I'd call my kind of...'people'..." I grimace at the prominent hexagon sticking out of Pyronica's thin waist.
"Go nuts, guys!" Bill's maniacal laugh echoes across the room as he flies back up to his throne "When we're done partying, I unveil Phase 2."
"Open up!" There's a sudden pounding on the door. "This is the police! Time Police!"
