There is a candle
A perfectly shaped wax figure
Awaiting the match that will bring it to life
And all it takes is a tiny spark to ignite the flame
A flame To dance within the depths of otherwise darkness
The seemingly pleasant aroma acts as proof
That it's not simply lit out of necessity
But also out of pleasure
After all, you will never grow tired of watching the subtle flame flicker
Though little by little, the hot wax melts away
Dripping into a puddle
Slowly but steadily increasing as time progresses
Shrinking the mound from its original size
But nevertheless the candle continues to shine
It's warm glow radiating from such a small, simple source
It doesn't take much to create a miracle
But just as easily;
It only takes a single gust of air to put out the light
