It's a part of who you are
A bunch of bits and pieces
Crumbled in a corner
Or neatly stacked on a shelf
Simply depending on where you are with your life
Every single encounter, experience, event
Chosen actions and behavior, it's all a part of you
Constantly following you around
sometimes leaving a trail behind you
from little bits and pieces left with others
Everything you do or say is written in stone
Undoable
There's no turning back
And the people in your life, you chose them to be there
Whether they are your best friends or worst enemies
Whether they are full of kindness and support
Or hatred and superficialness
If you are longing for someone, you have the power to introduce them into your life
If you can't stand someone, you have the power to let them go
No one else is going to do that for you
You have to learn to do it for yourself
And there's always going to be a chance that it doesn't work out
There's never going to be a guarantee
But the risk would be worth it if it truly matters to you
If it's significant enough to make a difference in your life
After all, every decision you make has effects that are sometimes unimaginably unpredictable
And every choice also defines you
Who you are and who you become
As well as shapes how you live your life
Your attitude can change everything
The mind is such a powerful thing
Your entire outlook could be flipped upside down by one simple experience or endeavor
It could be transformed by exposure to new light
All it takes is one thing, however minuscule, to change your entire purpose
