"Bucky?"

"Yeah it's me this time, Steve. Can you hand me my grocery bag?"

"What's in here?" Steve rummaged around in the bag and pulled out 4 plums. "Plums?" Steve shoots a puzzled look at Bucky and Sam, "Why plums?"

"They are the best food for memory restoration. I eat them to remember my old self and keep those memories alive."

"Oh...well, by all means eat up then! Now can you remember anything to help us catch this guy? The one who brainwashed you and triggered the 'Winter Soldier'?"

"I remember the lab in Siberia, and I remember the other four soldiers. His name is Zemo." Bucky begins munching on a plum.

Sam looks to Steve with a worried look on his face, "How many?"

"There are four others that the Soviets created like me...they have been put into cryogenic freezing. My guess is that Zemo is going there to wake them up and make the empire fall like he mentioned."

"Bucky, you can get us there, right?"

"Oh of course." Steve get's up from his chair at the now abandoned Avengers Headquarters.

"Hey Bucky, I hope this isn't too personal, you know, because I'm not Steve, but...was there anything or anyone that even tried to help you out of there that whole time?" Sam sits next to Bucky, silently waiting for an answer.

"Actually, there was one person who tried to save me. She was-"

"Uh oh." Steve begins to giggle.

"What?" Bucky chuckles as Steve returns to his seat, "What is it?"

"You're a ladies man, you always have been, Buck. So was she a gorgeous nurse or something?"

Bucky smiles as he begins to remember...but then his smile disappears into a painful frown. "Not a nurse, she was a doctor in training, she came from America for her international studies as a medical student. However, she was ahead of everyone, already passed and graduated at the top of her class and medical academy in Florida. She was almost 19 when I met her, she came to be the head doctor for the entire unit. The soviets did not have the best medical staff, they had the serums based off of German experiments from Dr. Zola, the original bastard who began this process on me, but the unit never knew how to medicate or treat the enhanced patients or 'assets' if things went wrong or we became ill. So they invited her to join; she created this amazing new drug to help the patients and she continued to advance in health training on the human body. She was with me and the rest of the crew in the late 90's when all of this happened, but she was different from everyone else there."

"How? She worked with them! She obviously wasn't kind to you Bucky."

"No wait, Steve...she never knew what they were doing to me, she was never in the lab when they did that. She was sent out of the experimenting room. As I left for another mission, she first saw me as the Winter Soldier, but since she had no clue how dangerous I was, she just walked up to me and asked me how I was feeling." He smiled and paused to reflect for a moment, "Her name was Jane. Jane Drummond, she was quite young, she's in her late 30's now I assume. Like I said before, she was recruited by the Soviets because of her medical intelligence. Jane was so young, but so smart."

"How did she help you?"

"Well, Jane accidentally walked into the lab when the words were being read to me to wake up the Winter Soldier, and I was screaming because I didn't want to do whatever assassin mission they were about to give me. She ran to my side, pushed the one guy over, and interrupted the man reading the words and touched my face, right here." Bucky pointed to his cheek and smiled. "Jane sweetly touched my cheek and I felt that horrible feeling of the awakening of the soldier go away and I stayed Bucky for the first time, and that awful cycle was broken. They were trying to pull her away and escort her out of the lab, but she held onto my titanium arm and refused to leave. She demanded to know what they were doing to me. After Zemo told her...she teared up and collapsed to her knees. 'You can't do this to people, you can't! He doesn't want this! You bastards!' She kept yelling. I broke out of my chair and picked her up and a guard in a black uniform came and took her from me."
