6th Chapter: Protecting his girl from the world and the pain

Jace's P.O.V
I can't believe what just happened with Clary's mother, I hope Clary doesn't lose her mother like I lost mine... She doesn't deserve that pain. It's a heartbreaking pain...
I wish I was there with her, to hug, to support, to give her a shoulder to cry on and to help her going trough whatever happens to her mother...
Izzy's P.O.V
Simon and Clary are so sad.
Simon's more sad for Clary's pain then for what happened to Jocelyn, of course he still sad for what happened to Jocelyn but Simon hates to see Clary suffer or in pain.
They are best friends for so long that they're like brother and sister.
Narrator's P.O.V
Jace was walking all around his living room, he tried to call Clary to know what happened with Jocelyn but it reached voice mail.
Jace was to worried to sit.

Meanwhile with Clary

Clary was sitting on a chair talking to her mother about the things they did together in hope of her mother remember it.
Clary picked her phone to show Jocelyn a photo of them but she saw the missed call from Jace.
"Wait mom, I'll show you the photo right after I call back a friend." Clary said leaving her mother alone with her father.
Clary went outside the Hospital and called back Jace, he answered the phone call in just a few seconds.
'Thank God you called!'
"What happened Jace? Why did you called?"
'Nothing happened babe, I was just worried about you. How's your mom?'
"She's alive and breathing but-"
'But what? Clary, what's wrong? Why did you started crying?'
"My mom has no idea who am I... S-She has amnesia and the doctor couldn't define if it will last forever or just for a few months..."
'I'm so sorry babe...'
"It's not your fault..."
'I know but still.'
"I wish you were here..."
'Do you want me to go there?'
"No babe. My dad wouldn't like it."
'Ok then. Just promise me you will call me if you need me.'
"I promise Jace."
'Ok. Be careful please.'
"Bye Jace. I gotta go."
'Bye my love.'
Clary hung up and went back to Jocelyn's room.
The hours passed by, Clary, Jocelyn and Valentine were talking.
"Clarisa, you should go home and sleep, it's already 1 am." Valentine said to Clary.
"But I don't wanna leave mom..." Clary said.
"But you have to sleep. I'll stay here with her don't worry Clarissa." Valentine said.
"Ok, I'll be back in the morning." Clary said.
"Ok, be careful." Valentine said.
"Bye." Clary said and laid a kiss on Jocelyn's cheek and Valentine's.
Clary went out of the Hospital and called Jace to go pick her up.
Clary was outside the Hospital waiting for Jace.
Jace quickly stopped the car in front of her, he opened the door for her from the inside and Clary entered the car.
"Can you spend the night with me at my house?" Clary asked.
"Are you sure?" Jace asked.
"Yeah, I don't want to be alone at home." Clary said.
"Ok,  your dad won't get mad?" Jace asked.
"He doesn't have to know., he will spend the whole night at the Hospital with my mom." she answered.
"Ok then babe." he said.
They we're talking all the way to Clary's house.
Once they arrived Jace parked the car and got out of it. Clary did the same.
Clary opened her house's door and they walked in.
"What time is it?" Clary asked.
"1:36 am." Jace answered.
"Can we watch a movie?" Clary asked.
"Sure. Which movie do you wanna watch?" he asked.
"I don't know, choose one horror movie." Clary answered "I'll just go put on my pyjamas."
"Ok. Where are the movies?" he asked.
"Over there." she answered pointing to it.
"OK, hurry babe." he said and laid a soft kiss on her lips and she runned upstairs.
Jace was seeing the movies and he finally chose one 'The Forgotten'(I don't know if the movie exists I just picked up a name) while Clary dressed her pyjamas.
Clary came downstairs and walked until Jace.
"You've chosen one?" she asked.
"Yeah." he answered showing her the movie.
"Uh! You chose the only horror movie that creeps the hell out of me and gives me nightmares." she said.
"Do you want to pick another one?" he asked.
"No I like that movie, although I get scared." she said.
"Ok then. I'll protect you from the world babe." he said.
"Thanks babe." she thanked.
"Always." he said.
Clary picked the movie from his hand and put it on.
They sat on the couch, Jace put his arm around her and put play.
As the movie played and the scary parts started Clary screamed and grabbed Jace's arm strongly and his behind his arm.
At the middle of the movie the scariest part went on and Clary jumped to Jace's legs and his her face in his chest, Jace hugged her against his chest and kissed her head, Clary felt safe in his arms and wasn't scared anymore.
Clary sat properly on Jace's legs, Jace had his arms around her.
They watched the movie but near the end Clary fell asleep in Jace's shoulder.
Jace kissed the top of her head and turned of the TV.
He carried her til her bedroom and laid her on the bed, Jace covered her and sat next to her watching her sleep.
Clary moved herself closer to him.
"I'm never gonna let anything happen to you, as long as I live." he whispered.
Suddenly Clary started to move on the bed.
"Jace... Jace! Where are you?" she said sleeping.
"I'm right here." he said but she was still sleeping.
"Jace no! Watch out!" Clary said again.
"Baby, wake up!" he said shaking her softly "Babe."
Clary woke up scared and Jace hugged her.
Are you alright? What happened?" he asked concerned.
"Now I am alright." she answered hugging him like she was never going to see him again.
"Did you had a nightmare?" he asked and she nodded her head.
"Y-You died on it..." she said and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Hey, hey! Babe, do not cry. I'm here now." he said.
"Thank God it was only a nightmare." she said hugging him tight.
Jace hugged her back and kissed her forehead.
"Don't leave me, ever." she said.
"I won't. I will never let anything happen to you I swear on the name of our love." he said.
"Thanks, that means a lot." she said and leaned towards him.
Their lips collapsed, at the beggining the kiss was soft but in a matter of time it became fiercely and passionated.
Clary jumped on Jace's legs without breaking the kiss and embraced his waist with her legs while he grabbed her waist and pulled her against his chest, Clary had her fingers tangled in his hair and the other arm around the back of his neck.
They broke the kiss and gasped for air, their breathing was heavy and their heart beats started to slow down.
The lovebirds just stared at each other's electric eyes.
Their breathing became normal again.
"I love you." he said.
"I love you too." she replied.

Jace reached for his phone without taking Clary off of his legs.
"We should sleep, it's already 2:45 am. You need to rest." he said.
"But I don't want to sleep. I don't want to have more nightmares..." she said
"I'll be here baby, protecting you from every single thing." he said holding her both hands.
"Thanks." she thanked.
"Always." he said kissing her hands "Now go to sleep."
"Ok." she said "But-"
"But what babe?" he said.
"But sleep with me." she said.
