Chapter 36
Amy
It had been a week since Adin attacked Archie in the woods, made him his kebab and left him to die. But from the way things have been around here, you wouldn't have known that.
Archie and I were back to normal. Well, normalish. He still had a lot of making up to do for sleeping with that vamp and I had a little making up to do for calling Adin and putting the idea of killing Archie in his head.
But the joyish news wasn't just with us. Callum had finally proposed to Liv and of course she said yes. I mean, who wouldn't say yes to him. I, myself, already have a million ideas for the wedding and as official Maid of Honour. I was going to see that my sister had the best wedding. Of course, Liv didn't see the point of rushing into things, she never did. But I think they were happy enough to take the next step in they're relationship. And besides, if he accidently gets her pregnant, they can say that it was half planned.
Even Malcolm had changed. I mean, he wasn't down in the library laughing along with us and still didn't take his seat at the table at dinner or breakfast, but in the past week, I had seen him come down from his attic and wonder the galleries. I had even once saw him go out to the forest through one of the upstairs windows. He was always by himself though. But I think he wanted that.
The twins of course, haven't changed much in the past week like the rest of us. Allie, however, had gotten over her shock of being attacked by vampires but her twin brother had stayed the same.
Unlike Liv, I hadn't had those nightmares. I guess the reason was that I didn't see Adin and he didn't attack me. Also because, I guess, I knew he was dead and buried and never coming back. Hector however was still out there. I could almost kill Callum myself for going soft. But I guess his softness was what my sister lover most about him. Unlike me, who loved Archie even more because he slayed the bastard that tore us apart for the max of three days. What can I say, the heart wants, what the heart wants.
When I heard the door open, I sat up and smiled when Archie came through.
"Hey, Princess," he said walking over to his side of the bed.
"What have you been doing? You said we were going to watch the next season of Game of Thrones," I asked growing impatient.
"Aye, I'm here, aren't I?" he asked.
I narrowed my eyes at him making his grin grow as he snickered.
I scoffed and turned the T.V on and played the first episode.
It was only playing for five minutes when Archie stopped it.
When I looked at him, frowning, he said, "I just realized somethin'. I've already watched this."
I shrugged, "So, isn't that the whole point. We were re-watching it to get ready for when the next series comes out."
He nodded, sitting up, "Aye, I know. Put there's so many new thin's we could be doin' right now."
Interested, I sat up and asked, "Like what?"
"Like this," he said before covering my mouth with his.
I giggled and pulled back, "We've already done that."
It was true. Since we had mended our relationship we had been worse than bunnies, going at it any chance we got.
"No, that's not what I meant."
I frowned, disappointed, "It isn't?"
He chuckled at me, "No. I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how I'm amazed that you've stuck around through all of this."
I shrugged, "It's been one of the easiest decisions I've ever made."
Now he frowned, "it has?"
I nodded, moving on top of him so that I was now saddling him.
"Yes," I told him, tucking his hair behind his ears, "I was made for you and you were made for me. We're binded together through your mark and I wouldn't have it any other way."
"So, you are willin' to put up with all my family drama and don't think it finishes with Adin. My family has real enemies and many of them will use you to get to us."
I shrugged, smiling, "That's just all part of the fun."
He grew a smile to match mine and nodded, "Aye, it is."
I learnt forward to latch my lips to his. They moved in their usual way, sending butterflies all through my stomach.
"I love you, Archie," I told him when we let go.
"I love you too, Amy."
