AND THE CAMERA FLASHES MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A DREAM

-

Luke is twenty three when he finally gets a break in the past two years and he instantly goes home.

He was waiting for the air hostess to say that he could get off the plane and go see his parents who were waiting for him. Luke turned his phone on ready and saw mum was waiting for him.

The woman opened the doors and Luke was first to get his carry on bag and leave, already feeling choked up about finally seeing his parents. He just wanted to hug his mum already.

Luke walked down the corridors and as soon as he got to the open airport, camera flashes were in his face and he cursed before pushing past the paparazzi and getting his bag.

He went through security before he called his mum, "where are you?" Luke asked through the receiver.

"I'm by the baggage claim with—I see you! Turn around!" His mum squealed and Luke turned and saw the blond curls of his mother running towards him. He ran to her, dropping his suitcase and sobbed as soon as he was in her arms.

"Oh my god I missed you so much," Luke cried in to her neck, holding her tightly.

Liz rubbed Luke's back, crying softly. She finally had her baby boy back and he was staying for a while. He had a break in tour before he had to go back.

They hugged for a few minutes, Luke's dad patting the blonds back before they pulled away and Luke hugged his dad. "I missed you both so much." Luke said quietly.

He could see people taking photos and videos of the reunion but he didn't care. He was back with his family and happy.

They both pulled apart and Andrew smiled, "it's so good to have you back. We'll be having a talk later tonight."

Luke nodded and the three of them left the airport in their family car. "Are Jack and Ben okay?" Luke asked from the back seat, his head on Liz's seat, hands on both seats.

"They're good, they'll be coming tomorrow." Luke's mum smiled and glanced at him. She lifted her hand to his hair, pushing it from his eyes. "You look so tired honey."

"I am." Luke sighed. "I don't want to do anything while I'm home." Luke said, "I just want to hang out with you guys and the kids." Luke had missed his nieces and nephews.

"We can do that." Andrew smiled.

They got home and Andrew carried Luke's bag before they went to the living room and Luke fell on to the sofa and sighed before Molly jumped on his chest making him groan. The big dog licked his face but he petted her anyway, kissing her head. He'd missed her cuddles.

"I'm going to make dinner." Liz said and Luke looked at her.

"Can I help?" He asked, desperate to spend time with his parents. He'd missed them so much.

"Of course you can." She smiled, "we can do it as a family."

Luke had never missed being at home so much, he realised not to take things for granted. Because you could lose it so easily and realise it would've been better before you changed everything.
