Michael was turning twenty two today, and Luke was excited to spend the day with Michael and celebrate together.

Luke was getting dressed in his bedroom, he could hear Michael's family next door all getting ready for their family dinner. Luke buttoned up his red shirt, before he ran his hand through his dirty blond curls. He smiled at his reflection, he felt so domestic, spending the night with his boyfriends family and the word boyfriend alone made Luke so happy because he was free.

Luke checked the time before he left his bedroom with Michael's present in hand. He went downstairs, then grabbed his keys and phone, leaving the house and going around the fence to Michael's house.

He knocked on the front door, waiting a few seconds before it opened to Michael. The younger man had dyed his hair a dark red, mixed in with black, and it looked amazing. "Hey you." Michael grinned, tugging Luke inside and kissing his cheek. "I told you I didn't need a present"

Luke shrugged, "I wanted to buy you something as a present, I've got something else at home for you too."

Michael smiled before he heard his name be called. The men both turned when someone entered the hallway, and the persons eyes widened, "holy shit." He said his eyes trained on Luke.

"Don't tell anyone" Luke instantly said.

"Luke this is Dan, my best friend, Dan this is Luke, my boyfriend."

"You're dating Ryder Adams."

Luke gulped at that name, looking down at his feet: but he heard Michael tut. "No I'm dating Luke Hemmings, my lovely boyfriend."

Luke smiled to himself before he was taken to the living room where Michael introduced Luke to his grandparents, cousins and uncles and aunties. And they all seemed to approve of Luke as soon as they set eyes on him.

They ate dinner outside in the back garden, lanterns around the yard as well as candles burning. It gave off a serene look to it, and it was quiet except for the family talking and Luke loved it. His hand had been entwined with Michael's the whole night and no one questioned Luke or his previous fame because they were older and didn't know who he was, or they just didn't care.

Then afterwards Michael walked Luke home, well he stood at the door as Luke hopped over the fence. "Thank you for coming, and the present." Michael said, Luke unlocked his door.

"It's fine." Luke said, "do you wanna come in? I have to give you another present."

Michael nodded, hopping the fence and leaning over to pull his own front door shut. He followed Luke inside the house, Luke taking Michael's hand and up the stairs to Luke's room. Michael sat on the bed as Luke opened up his wardrobe, "so I know you're learning guitar and well I kinda had a career based off of it" Luke said, pulling out his very first guitar, turning around to Michael and smiling.

"So here you go." Luke said, putting the guitar neck in Michael's hand. "I want you to have this, I've had it for thirteen years and I think it deserves a new owner."

Michael smiled, running his hands across the guitar. Then he looked up at Luke, "thank you so much."

Michael put the guitar down, leaning it against the bed before he grabbed Luke's hands, slowly pulling him closer. "You're wonderful." Michael mumbled, Luke standing between his legs now.

Luke's cheeks went pink, "I wouldn't say wonderful..."

"No, no, you are." Michael grinned, making Luke sit beside him.
