NEW TO TOWN WITH A MADE UP NAME IN THE ANGELS CITY CHASING FORTUNE AND FAME

Luke was sixteen as he sat in a waiting room in LA next to his mother. He had his guitar case beside him just incase someone wanted to hear him sing.

Luke had been posting YouTube videos of himself singing for two years, when he got an email from Capitol Records, some big shot record company wanting to sign him.

Luke had been so excited and thrilled that when he told his mum and dad he'd cried. Liz had to calm him down so he could explain what happened.

So that's why they were in LA.

Luke looked up when a door opened across from him. "Luke Hemmings?"

Luke stood up, grabbing his guitar, his mother standing too. She made him look at her before they headed in. "This is just to talk about things and then we decide as a family if we let you do this." She said, "I want you to get the best future out of this Luke."

Luke nodded, "I know. Now cmon." He grinned.

She followed her son in to the big office room. Four men sat at the table, folders and papers on the large table. Luke and Liz sat on one end of the table, a glass of water being given to each of them, Luke mumbling a thank you politely.

"Hello Luke," one man said, "I'm Trent Ford."

"It's nice to meet you." Luke said, slightly shy.

Luke's mum talked to the men about Luke's possible future record deal. They said Luke would be fine and that he would make his own album and he would go on tour and he would be made a star--that he'd get everything he'd ever wanted.

Luke just didn't know they'd give him a completely new identity, personality and life.

One he didn't want.

After the people assured Luke's mum that he would be fine, she looked down at her son and sighed. He gave her a bright grin and grabbed her hand, "mum, please?"

Liz sighed, patting his hand. "Luk--"

"I'm one of the lucky ones, I get this opportunity. I get my dream job." Luke gushed and his mum couldn't say no to the smile on his face.

"Okay Luke."

Luke was quickly given a pen and a contract before he could take back his words.

Luke signed his contract and once it was written it was taken from him.

But he didn't know that his name wouldn't even be Luke--people wouldn't know Luke.

And that was the start of Luke's rise and downfall.
