Much love and happy reading, ASRussell!

For the rest of the day I sulked in my room trying to calm myself down. However each time I attempted to calm down I began thinking of how young Ellie was and that she must be a liar because there's no way that our Goddess would have Darwin and her be together. Darwin was my friend, my best friend. He protected me time and time again. He saved me from my outside forces, he helped me with my escape during the conference and he had decided to settle down and help me with a child that wasn't even biologically his. Though I had a hard time accepting him as a mate I knew that we would work. We were a team.

I don't even think there was a question about Louie. Though he was devastatingly beautiful we don't have history like Darwin and I do. Louie saved me and I will forever be in debt to him. He's my savior. Both of them are because without them, I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't be alive with a child growing in my stomach. I wouldn't be on the line of war with my kind. Louie was mysterious and though I do have an attraction towards him I do believe it was more centered towards Lust rather than anything else.

I thought of them both as close friends. Louie not so much but because he was Darwin's blood I had to trust him. Darwin wouldn't leave me with someone he didn't trust... Right? I think my life back in Red Moon was considerably less difficult. Though I dealt with seclusion from my peers and taunts, it was easier. Now, I'm the leader for an all-out war I wasn't confident whatsoever in. Now I was expecting a child. I don't think my life could get any more difficult.

As I squirmed in my bed, I sat up when there was an urgent knock. I tried to fix my disheveled appearance.

"Come in," I called. The door cracked open and Louie stuck his head in before giving me a look and pushing through the door.

"You have visitors," He said and held the door open for the Alpha, who looked beyond pissed and the Luna who looked sympathetic.

"Hey," I said awkwardly knowing this conversation wasn't going to win out on my part.

"Bay... we've come to see if you held up on your end of the agreement," The Alpha began and I saw that Louie looked confused. "But I can sense that you have not done what we agreed to,"

"Sebast-"

"Stop! You will address me as Alpha and Alpha only," I had to resist rolling my eyes at that comment. Typical Alpha. When their feelings are hurt they resort to their title.

"Alpha, Darwin and I was going to but we were interrupted,"

"I don't want any excuses Bay! You disrespected me, my home, and our treaty because you couldn't hold up on your side of the agreement!" He raised his voice and his wife put her hand on his shoulder to calm him but it didn't work. His fists were clenched and his frame shook visibly.

"I'm sorry! But we couldn't complete it. It hurt too much!"

"I don't care, you should have stuck through it. If you can't complete the mating process how in the hell are you supposed to lead a war?!"

Louie said, "Darwin and you were going to mate?" at the same time I said, "You're blowing this out of proportion!"

"Oh," The Alpha's eyes grew darker, "I'm blowing this out of proportion?! Why don't you ask Cecilia, who was doing her border control when she came across one of our fellow pack members, dead and Alpha Martin's scent all over it."

"What when did that happen?" I voiced, standing up.

"I just was informed," he pointed to his head.

"Harry's in your territory?" I asked worried.
