Dinner, to say the least, was awkward. Darwin was to my right and Louie was to my left. Each boy didn't talk much through the dinner and I knew it was my fault. I blamed my idiot-self. I met each of the Alpha's children and yes, there were really seven of them. I met the Luna too, she was heavy with child. Her frame was small and she had a humungous stomach in front of her. She complained of her back hurting and her husband did every thing in his power to help ease some of her pain.

I smile at their love, somewhere deep inside of me yearning for something simillar but I shook away that thought immeadiately. I had two men on either side of me practically sick with love for me and I'm wanting to be caressed like how the Alpha was doing to his Luna. I also saw how he protected her. his arm was over the back of her chair and he sometimes fed her bites off his fork but what got me was that he answered each question I directed towards her.

It was kind of pissing me off.

I asked her multiple questions about her pregnancy and he answered all of them like she didn't have a voice of her own. By the time dinner was over I was fuming. I walked up to the room in silence and one of the Alpha's older son's stopped me. He was asking me questions about my child. He had recently mated and his mate was expecting. I could tell he was timid and cautious as to every little movement I made so I put on a smile and answered his questions. He pulled me into a hug and I patted his back comfortingly, liking the fact I had just made someone elses's life better.

Suddenly we were pulled apart and Darwin had the Alpha's son against the wall, his arm digging into the boys neck. He struggled to breathe as I regained my compusture and started smacking Darwin's arm.

"Let him go!"

Darwin didn't say antyhing as he dropped his arm and stepped away. I apologized quickly but the Alpha's son held up a hand and said he should have known better and he left down the stairs.

"What the hell was that?!" I shrieked

Instead of answering me, he walked into our room and slammed the door shut behind him. I followed him in and chucked a white pillow at him that I obtained from the small couch by the door.

"Why would you go an do that?!" I yelled.

"He, he was all over you!" He stuttered.

"I was hugging him after I answered some of his questions concerning his mate!"

"I-I didn't know!"

"I thought you didn't care!" I yelled

"I never said that," he shook his head. I licked my lips and looked down.

"You didn't have to. You walked away from me..."

"I would never walk away from you, Bay," He walked forward and grasped my shoulders. "I turned away because," he looked down stuggling for the correct word, "you were falling in love with him and I didn't want to see it happen," His hands trail up to the back of my neck and he rests them there.

"I'm not in love with Louie!"

"I never said his name," He shook his head and I could see the tears forming in his eyes. He leaned down to kiss me on the forehead before departing to his bedroom.
