A small fragile looking child attacked my legs as soon as I walked in. It's little arms wrapped around my left leg and I resisted the urge to kick the child off. I looked down and a flash of bright blonde curls shook as the child climbed around my leg like a monkey to avoid being caught by a man.

"I'm so sorry," the man apologized as he grabbed the child's foot and held her up in the air upside down. She squealed and giggled loudly as she swung from the mans hand.

"What do you think you're doing, Mills?!" the man asked the child.

"Put me down, Daddy!"

Her father obliged and he set her upright to which she huffed and fixed her shirt. The little girl had bright, almost a bright white colored curls that sprang from her head. She had bright blue eyes that were large and filled with mischief. I made the connection that Mills was the Millie Darwin had mentioned.

When I turned to look at her father I was confused. Darwin had said Millie was seven years old and the man in front of me, the supposed Alpha of this pack looked to be only eighteen at the most. I didn't voice my opinion out loud.

"Bay Monarch, right?" The man stepped forward to shake my hand.

"You're the Alpha, correct?"

"I am. The little monster that attacked you is my baby girl, Millie." He laughed. I had to admit he had a nice smile.

"How many children do you have?" I asked.

The Alpha grinned and rubbed the back of his neck, "My mate and I have a total of seven children."

"How old is your oldest?"

"Micah is 21 and the future Alpha,"

My eyes widened in their own account and the Alpha grinned broadly, "I know what you're thinking. I just have good genes," he shrugged but Darwin snorted at that. The Alpha didn't look to be phased by Darwin's gesture as he grinned at me.

"Very good genes, I suppose."

He nodded and motioned for me to follow him. We walked up the staircase slowly with the Alpha talking, "The murder of the Alpha of Hegemony pack has saddened us immensely. We were close. Our families, I mean. We won't allow something like that to go untouched. We will avenge in his honor."

"Thank you," I whispered.

"I can't believe it happened... Sebastian was a good man."

"It was my fault," I whispered. Darwin pulled on my arm roughly.

"Don't you dare say that. We all know what this war entails. Alpha Sebastian knew exactly what he was doing,"

"Your boyfriend is right, Bay. Don't feel guilty over this,"

My face burnt as I blurted, "We're not, I mean, we're not together... like that,"

Darwin gave me a look but exhaled loudly. I knew I had said the wrong thing when the Alpha gave me a look. We were walking down a long hall with random doors lined together.

"You'll be rooming here, Bay. With Darwin."

"What about Louie?" I asked. By Darwin's mannerisms which consisted of him rolling his eyes and muttering under his breath. I squinted my eyes at him as the Alpha opened the door to an all white room. It wasn't bright white, it was a dull color but everything nonetheless was white. The walls, the carpet, the furniture.

"There's room in here for him too. you've got a bathroom, closet space. This door," he walks over to a painted white door, "connects the next room to it. Same for that door," he pointed to another door. Each bedroom has it's own closet space and bathroom, well, besides that one, it doesn't have a bathroom,"

I nodded at the Alpha who smiled and rocked back and forth on his heels, "Darwin informed me you left all your stuff at the Hegemony's pack?"

I nodded to confirm his question, "Ill have my eldest bring you clothing. There are extra toothbrushes under the counter in the bathroom and toothpaste in the drawer,"

"Thank you so much, Alpha,"

"I'm glad to be helping the figure head for this war," he had a mischievous glint in his brown eyes and I knew that was where Millie got it.

"Thank you,"

"Dinner is in two hours, I'd take a shower. I'll send one of my children to bring you down,"

I nodded and watched as the Alpha left the room. Darwin left to the other room  and a moment later I heard the shower run. I sighed, knowing I had made him angry.

I walked to my bathroom and examined it. I found the towels in the little half closet. It was a peculiar sight, a little square box in the middle of the wall filled with towels and washcloths. I tore out of my dirty clothing and threw them in the corner of the bathroom. I turned the knobs of the shower and tested the temperature of the falling water. Deeming it satisfactory I walked in. The feel if the water replenishing my dirt coated skin felt amazing. There was a bottle of conditioner but that was it. I washed my hair with that. Then I squirted some on a washcloth and rubbed my body clean with it. It wasn't body wash but it did the trick.

I rubbed the cloth over my protruding stomach surprised that I had a baby bump. It was small but it still said that I was a mother to be. I just stood there for a moment, my hands searching and prodding my bump. It felt unrealistic that I was a mother.

As I thought of it, I didn't know how I could be a mother. I didn't know anything about how raising a child worked and here I was, incubating an egg.

I heard something in the room and I nearly died when I saw a figure through the shower curtain. I stuck my head out and saw Louie, rummaging through the drawers. When he saw me his eyes darkened.

"What the hell?"

"How are you doing?" He asked casually leaning against the bathroom counter.

"I'm... fine." I couldn't help but notice how his eyes looked through the clear shower curtain."oh my God, don't look at me!"

"You're the one that's naked," he said.

"I'm taking a shower,"

"Maybe you should lock the door," he whispered which was hard to hear as the water pounded against the porcelain tub.

"Would you leave?!"

"I'm not sure if I want to now." He smiled.

"Louie, leave, please!"

"How about I show you how a real man can please you?"

My breathe caught in my throat as he pulled off his shirt, giving me an eyeful of his tan chest. My heart started pounding and I probably did the worst thing I could do.

I bit my lip.

Louie must have taken this as an open invitation because he jumped in the shower with his pants still on and kissed me roughly on the lips. His hand went behind my neck as the other rested on my hip. I couldn't stop thinking of his

Louie bit on my bottom lip teasingly as he wrapped his hands around my hair.

"Tell me what you want,"

"What?" I asked breathlessly.

"What do you want? Who do you want?"

"What do you mean?"

"Darwin or me? I'm not going to do... this if you have feelings toward Darwin. I won't stand around and be someone's second choice. I've been it before, I won't again." His eyes clouded over and he looked dangerous. I wondered what had happened in the past that would affect him so much now.

"So... Who's it gonna be?"

I froze and Louie took that as my confirmation, he pressed his lips into a thin line and shook his head as he walked out of the shower, his pants dripping wet.

"I'll see you at dinner," he muttered angrily.

How could I have gone from both guys liking me to be pissed off at me in a matter of hours?
