"Goodnight princess." He says kissing my neck.
"Goodnight."
Ethan's POV
I wake up before Ari does so I start gathering all of our things into the car. We were planning on staying a little bit longer but she felt like leaving earlier.
"Baby?" She says in a whisper-ish tone. She looks so adorable when she wakes up.
"I'm right here don't worry." I say laying down next to her and cuddling with her.
"Good morning." She says smiling at me.
"Morning. How did you sleep?" I ask.
"Good." She says.
"Thats good. Hey you wanna head out in a bit?" I ask
"Yeah, Im just gonna walk around for a bit. Ill meet you back at the car in 5 minutes or so." She says giving me a small peck on the cheek.
"Okay, see ya soon." I say and finish loading up the car.
Ari's POV
I start walking around, admiring the nature around me. I would stay longer but I can't always stay outside for a long time. I check the time on my phone and its 6 am...wow.
I'm walking down by the edge of the river and sit down for a bit, just letting the water rush against my feet. But I hear a noise it the woods behind me.
"Hello? Ethan?" I say. No one responds.
"Ethan I swear if you're messing with me I'm not talking to you again." I say... Again, no response.
I get up and check to see what the noise was. It kept moving, whatever it was, so I just followed the noise, and of course...it was a bunny.
"Well hello there little guy." I say bending down and reaching for it. It hops towards me, sniffs me, then hops away. Strange.
I get the feeling that someone is watching me, so I look around and there's no one in sight.
I cross my arms and walk back to Ethan and I's stuff. I see Ethan and run towards him, jumping on his back.
"Oh my god Ari you scared the shit out of me!" He yells.
"Sorry you're such a scaredy cat." I laugh.
"You ready to head out? I got everything in the car." He says.
I barely pay attention to what he's saying and look around. I still feel like someone is watching me.
"Ari!" Ethan yells.
"Whoah hi what." I say.
"I said are you ready to go?"
"Oh, yeah. Let's go." I say nervously.
"You okay?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm fine, just tired." I'm not completely lying, I am really tired.
"Okay, well come on, the car isn't that far." He says holding my hand. I hold onto his and follow him to the car.
We get in and I just sit there, staring out the window into the woods around us.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asks again.
"Yeah, I swear. Im okay." I say. I don't want him to worry about me.
"Okay..." He says. He then puts his hand on my thigh and starts driving.
We stop at a gas station thats about 2 hours away from the woods we were at and Ethan fills up the tank. I go in to get some snacks for on the way back.
Once I walk in a rush of cold air hits me. It felt pretty good since it felt like it was 100* outside. I walk over to the drinks, get Ethan and I an Arizona tea, and get some candy for a snack.
I walk up to the register and there's no one there. I look around and don't see anyone. I shout hello a couple times but no one answers. There's no one in this gas station. Im the only one.
I slowly walk to the back to see if anyone is back there. I don't know why I thought this was a good idea but oh well.
I peep my head around the corner and look around. No one. I say hello a couple more times but this time I hear something fall. It sounded like a can.
"Is anyone back here?" I ask.
No one answers so I just walk back to the register to see if anyone walked in, but once I walk away from the back room, I feel something hit my head and I fall onto the ground.
I touch where I got hit and look at my finger. My vision is blurry but I can tell there is blood on my finger. I lay back on the floor then I feel someone start dragging me. I can't tell who it is though. I try to sit up but once I do I get hit in the head again but this time I'm knocked out.
Ethan's POV
Ari has been in the gas station for a good 10 minutes and I haven't seen her. I get out of my car and walk towards the building and go inside.
"Ari?" I yell. No answer...
"ARIII?" I yell louder. Still, no answer.
I look around to see if she's anywhere but all I see is a tiny puddle of blood...
