If one of your favourite band/singers consists of the likes of: Nirvana, Oasis, Jake Bugg or the Arctic Monkeys. Then you will know exactly what I mean by this.
There are so many singing competitions around the world but what I always think is what about if a famous singer (from one of the bands above) goes on it. They will not win, in fact they'd probably say they can't sing.
Can we all just picture Noel Gallagher going on X-Factor. Imagine how badly he would kick off after being told 'he can't sing'. But then imagine how successful he has been. He has been one of the most influential bands of all times.
So this is why singing competitions/shows annoy me. Because the people who legit can sing don't even get to the final. Instead someone who shouts, instead of sings, gets through.
