Avery's P.O.VBeep, beep beep is the continuous noise I keep hearing. Where am I? I slowly open my eyes and groan. My eyes find myself in a hospital room. Feeling something sweaty latched onto my hand, I follow my eyes to a Jesse, hands holding my hand, his head layed next to my stomach, face first in the quilt. As I go touch him to wake him up, I feel a sharp pain spike through my side. I let out a cry and realised I have my ribs wrapped in cloth. My ribs are broken. Jesses head pops up, and he lets out a relived sigh and smiles at me. A tear rolls down his cheek as he hugs me very carefully, head in between my shoulder.
"I missed you Avery." He sobs into my neck. I feel one of his tears roll down my neck and it slightly tickles. Jesse pulls away and looks into my eyes.
I try to sit up, but fail and fall back onto the bed, ribs aching like hell. Jesse pulls me up very carefully, hand on my hand and the other on my back, pushing me slowly up. I move around a bit to get in a comfy position
"How do you feel?" He asks, trying to wipe the tears from his cheeks
"Very painful on my side,What happened?" I ask, not remembering why I'm here.
"You smashed into a car, I-I thought you wouldn't make it. Yo-you bled so much Avery. You looked dead when you were in my arms. I followed the ambulance to the hospital and never went home. You were unconscious for three days." He pauses for a minute while continuing "And all I could think of was that I'm losing the only girl I love, the only person I really care about Avery." He says looking into my eyes, tears now rolling down his cheeks.
Without even thinking, My fingers hook into his collar, pulling him towards me. Pain spikes my sides but I don't care. His lips hover over mine, waiting for him to make the move.
"Kiss me Avery" Jesse says as I close the gap and plant my my cold lips onto his warm ones. My heart races as he cups his hand on my cheeks and places his other hand on my lower back. I pull my arm, slightly hurting, to his hair and slightly tug at it as our kiss grew bigger. I moan slightly into the kiss as he ran his hand up and down my back. I pull away, breathing heavily, leaving my lips to go cold and I look down. I can't believe that just happened. The pain in my ribs and arms instantly numbed during our moment. I entwined my hands into Jesses and look up into his eyes that were already staring at me.
"Avery, I love you." Jesse says as I smile, heart racing like he could hear it
"I love you too Jesse." I say, as the doctor walks in, Jesse sits back down on his chair, like nothing ever happened. He blushes slightly as I giggle at his embarrassment.
"Miss Sparks, how are you feeling?" The doctor asks me
"I feel in pain." I say as the doctor starts writing things on his notepad. He passes Jesse some pills and he looks over the container.
"You'll have to stay here for a few more days since you have lost lots of blood and broken two of your ribs. Take these home with you, Take two tablets 3 times a day. " The doctor hands me two tablets and a glass off water, and I down it. He leaves the room leaving me and Jesse left alone.
"I feel really tired Jesse." I say, looking over to him, waiting for him to give me an approval for me to sleep
"But you were asleep for three days!" He says while we both laugh
"Go to sleep." he says as my head hits the pillow and I instantly fall asleep.
*Dream*
I wake up in the same place I did when I woke up from the car accident. The hospital. I sit up in bed and feel the same pain as I did when I was awake. My heart stops when I don't see Jesse in his spot, but mum instead. I gasp as she stands from her seat and walks next me.
"Mum? Why are you here?" I ask as she lays her hand on my arm
"I'm not dead Aves." Mum says, brushing a piece of my hair behind my ear
"What are you talking about?" I say to her, as she pulls out something from her pocket. She reveals a gold bracelet, that says 'Forever' engraved on it. She puts it around my wrist and entwined her hand in mine
"I love you, see you soon." She says, walking out the hospital door, leaving me to wake up again
I wake up, back in the hospital room, Jesse just coming through the door to my room.
"Oh, your awake! You weren't asleep for long." Jesse says, sitting back on his chair that he has claimed
My dream felt so real. Feeling something cold against my wrist, I lift my arm out of the blankets and find the same gold bracelet that mum had given me in my dream. I gasp only to think now, that I wasn't dreaming. It was real
