Averys mums car^^^

Flicking my curly hair back into a ponytail, I bend down and pop the hood that I closed earlier. I stared at what looked like hundreds of various wires that were covering spark plug coils. Hmm, this is going to be a little more complicated to work than I thought. I start doing some of the work, placing bits where they belong. I bend down to get my corona and take a swing of it, placing it back down and getting my head back into the car.

"It's 8:00 guys wrap it up." I hear my Dad shout from the garage door

I pop the hood down and sigh. I didn't think it would be that late. Time goes fast when I'm in my garage. I quietly pushed my corona under Jesse's car. I forgot I wasn't suppose to drink. Walking over to the rag on the cupboard, I pick it up and clean my hands with it. Looking over to Jesse, he grabs he's keys from next to him, and places is beanie back on top of his head. He walks over giving me a quick pat on the head

"See you at school tomorrow Avery, see you later Scott." Jess waves at us, Dad patting his back on the way out. I watch his car take off in the distance, I worry about him sometimes.

"How's the car coming along?" Dad asks, walking towards mums car, running his hand along the side of her red Mustang gt500

"I'm not going to focus on it now, I'll fix it later, maybe after Jesses car." I say walking towards my own car

"Go have a shower sweet, I'll take that corona you left under Jesse's car." Dad says as he raises an eyebrow at me, and walks towards my unfinished corona. Damn it.

"Goodnight Dad, see you In the morning." I say, planting a kiss onto his cheek, walking out of the garage. The smell of fresh air hits my nostrils which smells better then the sweat and grease. I guess I'm kinda used to it now ever since dad got me into this stuff. I climb up the stairs, two steps at a time. I take a warm shower, cleaning all the grease off me, feeling fresh again. I climb into bed, noticing a text message from Jesse which I instantly smile at.

'There is a race on Saturday night, good way to score some cash'

I think of all the times I have done this. I have never been caught and I always feel guilty for going behind dads back like this. I promised him I won't get into this stuff, like mum.

Flashback

"Mum No!" I scream as I watch my mother plummet into the side of the wall. Flames spread along the car, as I feel my tears prick in my eyes, dad pulls me back while I scream. Her car blows up, from the amount of nos that circulated her car. Dad pulls me into a hug while I sob of what I just saw

*End*

I quickly shake the memory out of my head. I reply yes to Jesse before I regret it and throw my phone onto the floor. Just forget it I think. I pull my blanket over my head, drifting off to sleep
