Chapter 8 - Broken Family (part 2)

A/N : Sorry for the late update! My cellphone is broken (since I use cellphone to write my story), so I need to wait until it is repaired. Fortunately, I write my stories in notes and my email is connected to my phone. When I checked my emails, I found some of the stories I have written and then I continued writing my stories on my laptop. For that reason too, I can't upload my drawing of Kei and Kayla. Perhaps next time. And, this is the longest chapter so far, so I hope you like it!

'I forgot the materials!'

Right after I arrived at home, I quickly realized that I forgot to bring the materials back with me. They were still in Kayla's house.

'I hope they still keep the materials... So, it is the reason why I felt like forgetting something.'

And because of that reason as well, the next day, I immediately prepared to go out secretly after Nicho went to work. I changed my clothes to a usual dress I always wear, then I went outside.

I tried to remember the way to Kayla's and rude boy's house. After remembering everything, I walked while letting myself be led by my foot.

Around 20 minutes later, I arrived in front of their house. Houses don't have doorbells in this world, so I went straight over the fence without the need to press the bell.

Standing in front of the door of the house, I knocked on it.

"Excuse me."

I said that as I continued to knock until the door was opened.

The person who was opening the door was Kayla. The moment I saw her face, I was relieved, because the one who opened the door was not the rude boy or his father.

Kayla, who was looking at me with surprised face, quickly changed her expression into happy face as soon as she recognized me.

"You are here again, Luna! I'm so happy! Come in, come in!"

Exclaiming with cheerful voice, she invited me to come in, but I refused her invitation.

"It's fine. I just want to take the things I bought yesterday which I forgot to bring."

Saying that with a slight smile on my face, actually I was thinking like this, 'It's not like that I don't like this place, but I will be annoyed if I meet the rude boy. I don't know about the father, but I think he's somewhat scary.'

"You forgot something? Ah, that materials, right?"

I nodded my head. It seemed she had found the materials after I went home yersterday.

She then walked back into her house while letting the door open. Perhaps she believed that I was not going to steal something, so she let the door open with the intention to ask me waiting for awhile. Well, I wouldn't steal something, but she really believed in others. She should have been more vigilant. I mean, not everyone is kind and there are people who have bad intentions... especially as she already looks gullible, at least she should learn self-defense to knock out someone who harms her.

'As if I could knock out someone though...'

From the open door, I could see her entering her room. I decided to just wait and leaned against the wall near the door. A few minutes later, Kayla was back with the materials by carrying them in her hands. Seeing that, I stood up again and then she gave them to me.

"Thank you," I thanked her. "I'll go back to home now. Bye, Kayla."

As I was about to turn around my body, unexpected words entered my ears.
