Chapter 12 - The Magic Festival (part 1)

A/N : Sorry for late update. I'm busy with exams... But, because I haven't updated since 3 or 2 months ago, I will try to finish the next two chapters quickly. And this chapter is very long! So, enjoy reading it!

"So, who are those people?"

As I heard the question, I slowly turned my body around with a forced smile on my face.

'... I completely forgot.'

With a smile but somehow it looked scary for me, he crossed his arms in front of his chest and stared right at my face. When I looked closely at his face, it was as though I could see an irk mark on his forehead.

"Um, they are going to stay here... from now on."

"Say what?"

'Scary, scary! It's my fault that I haven't told him before, but why is he that angry?'

While I was being intimidated by his scary smile, the voice of a woman suddenly interrupted us as she exclaimed with admiration, "Are you Luna's boyfriend? I don't know you have a boyfriend, Luna! And he is Nicho, right? The high-ranked wizard! Wow, so cool!"

After Kayla said that, Nicho and I went silent and looked at her who was emitting bright cheerful aura. I assumed that Kayla was a person who couldn't read the situation. Otherwise, she wouldn't interrupted Nicho's words who was clearly in a bad mood.

I then directed my gaze at Kei who was standing beside Kayla the entire time. Fortunately, unlike Kayla, he could read the situation because he stayed silent.... or it might be because he really didn't want to talk. Anyway, I've noticed before that he hasn't talked since I gained my consciousness. Just what happened to him? Is he really that mad because I didn't listen to him?

Pouting, I quickly snapped out of my reverie when Nicho started to break the silence and glared at me.

"Luna, I don't remember I've given you permission to have another people living in this house."

Although he said that quite seriously, Kayla's voice interrupted again.

"Eh, you want to monopolize her for yourself?", Kayla looked at us with sparkling eyes.

'Kayla... Please stop talking!' I could only say that in my mind, hoping she would stop talking, so it didn't make Nicho's mood worse.

As to ensure whether his mood was still good or not, I tried to look at Nicho again. As expected though, his irk mark added by one. Well, Nicho seems like he doesn't really like a person who has a personality like Kayla...

"A boy lives with a girl together? Aren't you just a pervert?"

And unexpectedly, Kei definitely made things even worse because of his bad mouth.

"You...!"

Nicho's anger had reached the peak and as he stomped his foot toward Kei, I immediately spoke up, "Wait, Nicho!"

Nicho stopped when I ran toward him and pulled his clothes.

"I... made their family situation worse, so I want to repay them... So, let them stay here, please?", I begged while still pulling his clothes toward me to prevent him from almost attacking Kei.

Hearing that, Nicho let out a big sigh, and as he scratched his head, he thought for a while then finally gave an answer.

"Fine... But-"

Hearing the 'but' word, I gulped. He, being a sadist boy, I bet he would order me to do something annoying again.

He continued, "You must read the history books of the 4 countries, study the languages more, then read about magic so you won't get involved in dangerous situation with wizards again." As he said that, he brought a lot of thick books on the table in front of me. I almost didn't listen what title of the books he put it there because they were just too many.
