"This place is very dark... I almost can't see anything," I said as I remembered I had tripped and fell numerous times.
"There are a lot of tall and big trees which doesn't allow the light to pass, so this area is dark." Sylven looked around the surrounding and added, "It seems we have lost the person either... And I don't have light magic. This is a problem."
"So what should we do? Continue chasing the person?", I asked while not moving my eyes even for a second from Sylven's figure leading the way deeper into the forest. I shouldn't get lost in an unknown forest alone...
'At least if he forgets the way to go back, I won't be alone.'
"Yes," he stated firmly then suddenly snapped his finger.
I blinked my eyes. "What are you-"
When I wanted to ask why he suddenly snapped his finger, my question was quickly answered by someone who appeared in front of us in a speed of light. The man wearing a simple brown cloak bend down one of his knee and lowered his head deeply in respect to Sylven. My mouth was agape in shock because I still didn't process his sudden appearance.
Sylven turned to face me and explained, "He is one of our bodyguards. Of course we can't go to place like this without a bodyguard hiding somewhere near right?" He showed a small smile then started giving the man an order. "Your magic is fire, right? Can you help us light this area a little?"
"Of course, Your Highness," he replied formally as he stood up from his current bending down position. Raising his pointer finger in front of his face, a small fire appeared and surrounded the finger.
"Good. Please show us the way."
As soon as the man heard the order, he turned around and started walking, followed by us silently from behind.
'I wonder why this bodyguard didn't stop us from doing this dangerous thing...'
I walked close to Sylven and tugged on his clothes so I wouldn't get lost. Sylven seemed not to mind, I think it's alright to do that.
We continued walking and walking and I only followed the fire, the only thing I could see quite clearly. After a few more minutes, the trees which made the forest dark because of lack of sunlight were gradually lessen. Until, we arrived at a green field with a vast expanse of grass. The edges of the green field was full of tall trees, but the middle part... Well, it was like normal field, just without animals, plants, nothing. This green field seemed like the only place where it let the sunlight to pass, meaning that it received light more than the other part of the forest.
'I don't really expect there is a field here...'
Scanning around the area with my eyes, I decided to ask the bodyguard with low voice, "Where did they go...?", and he anwered quickly, "They are close."
"Close?" I tilted my head but I noticed there was no one near us.
The man didn't answer and started circling around the edges of the field. Sylven and I did the same. No one really explained to me what they were doing, so I just confusedly stared at both of them who seemed like checking the place intently. Strangely though, while doing that for a while, pain suddenly shot through my head and I felt dizzy.
I held my head with both of my hands, drawing their attention.
Sylven came up to me worriedly and asked, "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. "I'm not... I feel... dizzy. I think... something is not right with this place."
"Really?" Sylven tried to check his own head but he said that he felt normal.
