Chapter 15 - Unexpected Invitation (part 2)

A/N : let me tell you, I actually want to update faster because actually I've been wanting to write *cough* academy arc *cough* but it's still long long way to go until we reach that arc... because we haven't met all of the characters. There are still 2 characters more in Luna's harem until we reach the academy arc. Oh, and second thing I want to tell is that this is not just a story which like some of other otome games LN/WN that are like 'I reicarnated or transported to an otome world without a reason!' I want to make reasonable reason and some other mysteries need to be solved, so there will be sometimes a long explanation in one chapter, so sorry if it's boring. I want to make an unusual otome game story XD Lol I tell too much. Besides, I've just finished my midterm exams! I'll try to write the next chapter quickly.

Silence filled this enormous room for almost 5 minutes. With the king and high-ranked wizards had a shock face; Sylven looked at his father determinedly; and I who observed the current scene between the both sides back and forth.

That was the longest silence I've ever had.

After what seemed like forever, a sudden laugh broke the silence. The occupants of the room stared at the one who let out continuous laugh curiously, that was also including me.

Raising one of my eyebrows at the King who gave out content loud laugh, he finally stopped and then looked down to see his own son with soft gaze.

"You have grown so much, Sylven. I couldn't be happier," he said while smiling at Sylven who stared at him with mouth agape, since the King suddenly laughed made him rather surprised.

"Fine. I will explain everything to you." He continued then started to give a long explanation about the current situation of this world and the relation between this world and our old world.

I had known most of what he explained, but there were also some things which I had just heard from him, such as this.

"... It is only a hypothesis we have, but we think that these 2 worlds are related to each other."

"How could you know that?", Sylven asked, confused.

The King glanced at one of the high-ranked wizards who had been standing beside him. The man gave a slight nod when he received that glance and began to step forward, looking at the two of us.

The brown-haired man had an average face and seemed like in his 25. He had serious and firm expression on his face and I bet his expression rarely changed. He looked like the serious and smart type. If he was the one who had found the hypothesis just like what the King had said to us before, he must be a genius.

The man gave a bow to Sylven but narrowed his eyes at me as though analyzing me. After a minute of doing that, he finally started his explanation.

"From what I guess, these 2 worlds are connected with each other. This world will be crumbled if people from the other world do not know this world exists, as what 'that wizard' has predicted."

"... That wizard?", I asked curiously.

"Do you mean the old woman who lives in the depth of the forest, Segus Gonsale?", Sylven stated while looking up at the man named Gonsale.

He nodded then looked at me who blinked my eyes confusedly when I heard the unknown name. "In case you don't know, she is the only wizard who can predict the future. Perhaps God bless her. Her predictions always happen. And this is one of her predictions."

I then heard a gentle laugh again from the King as he said, "I wanted her to be the Court Wizard, but she refused my offer and chose to lock herself from the outside world inside her house. She is an unique one but I could say she is the most powerful wizard in this country. Although I often couldn't see through her mind."
