"Hey Arzel! Wanna start a new race?" Ashton called from the living room. "You guys go ahead and play first! I'll catch up," Arzel called from the kitchen.

They continued another lapse and me and Luke just watched. But a portion of the time I was watching the boys play, I caught myself looking at Luke. I really liked his lip ring. I too wanted to get a lip piercing, but I was too much of a pussy. But I did have three ear piercings going up my standard lobe, upper lobe and orbital on my left ear and also three more crystal studs on my forward helix on the right.

It was that day I noticed that he changes his lip ring. There was a day I'd see it as a silver one and another as bronze but that day, it was black, and it was my favorite on him.

He fiddled with the ring a little, as if he knew I was watching. Maybe he did. And the he tugged on it a little. Wait why was I still gazing at him. I looked away. Then it was his turn. I felt his gaze upon me that time.

I didn't let him know I was aware of him watching. I just tucked a lock of my hair behind my left ear. I felt my piercings brushing against my fingers which gave me a slight tickle. Then I ran some fingers through my hair to smoothen it out. It was getting pretty tangly for the past few days. Maybe it was time for a hair treatment, again.

"Your piercings are adorable," a voice came up on my left. Yeah, I was right, Luke was looking at me. "What, these? These are nothing. Nothing compared to you piercing," I told him politely. Then I started to wonder, Has the boys ever seen my piercings before?

Then, from the living room, I started to hear the front door unlocking. Well, it seems like someone decided to come back home. I looked at the time on my phone. 8:00p.m. Just as Arzel said, 'Let's get this dinner party over with.'

I headed out of the living room. "Arzaylea!" Mom exclaimed. "Hey mom," Arz said. I stood at the side and watched. The boys were completely unaware of her arrival.

"Come to the dining room darling, I've cooked up your favorite," Mom smiled. "Mom, you literally just told me to go out and eat with my friends," Arzaylea frowned. What did I tell you, this girl's a bitch. "Oh, uh, so you're not hungry?" The corner lips of mom's smile drooped.

Arzaylea was about to say something until someone from the back had beaten her to it. "Hey, Arzaylea," I looked back and Luke was there. "Hey," she said, miraculously picking up the habit of twirling strands of her hair around her finger within seconds.

"What're you doing here? Oh hey Azalea! Didn't see you there," She sugarcoated her fake smile even more. You see there are two types of people. People who fake their smile but hides nothing but lies behind them and people who fake their smile but hides pain behind them. You decide which one I am.

I gave her a mix of a sneer and a smile for acknowledging my existence. "Oh your mom invited for dinner," Luke answered and my mom hopelessly nods.

"Oh well then, I might have room for dessert or something," Arzaylea said, looking back to mom. "Oh good! I also made your favorite pie," She seemed to have regained her smile.

Mom trotted off back to the kitchen and I reentered the living room. Arzaylea entered the living room too.

"Hey," she said to the remaining boys caught in a virtual race. They all turned rhythmically and said "Hey," back rhythmically too.

"Wha-" I cut Arzaylea's charm off, "Don't tell me you're going to ask them what they're doing," I pointed to the boys, "They're playing Mario Kart, can't you tell?"

Everyone looks at me as if I had asked her to go fuck herself and make a living by being a prostitute or something. In the end, Arzaylea cackled, "Well someone's snappy today."

I rolled my eyes. I didn't need her treating me like a child. "And someone decided to come home today," Arzel entered the room. I smiled at him. He came over to me and I gave him a high five. "Arzel, hey," Arzaylea smiled, maintaining her composure. Well I didn't think she would last long. Let's see how many pokes it'd take to burst this bubble.
