I passed the phone back to its rightful owner. "Well it's settled then, we're all not going to spill until Halloween," I said.
"Yay," The boys cheered. "But, we've got to have some kind of theme," Michael said. "Yeah, definitely," Calum nodded in agreement and leaned back in his chair. "What about..." Michael put a finger on his chin and thought about it. "Superheroes and villains?" I suggested.
The boys looked at me for a second and for that whole second, I figured I should've just shut the hell up. But then fortunately, they were fond of the idea. "Hell yeah," Ashton said. "Yay," I did a said little cheer by myself in which I quickly stopped once how weird and cringy my cheer routine was.
I already had that special someone in mind. My patron goddess literally. She is my queen and will forever be my queen. She inspires me like a thousand fireworks sparking. Reminding me it's alright to be...a little different. Let me give you a hint. Insanity is her lifestyle, well, not all of it.
"You look mischievous," Ashton pointed out to my expression. My mind was not aware of my facial movements at all. "Nothing," I returned a mischievous smile.
Beep beep. I fished my phone out of my jean pocket after the familiar sound of my notifications ringing blasted from my phone.
Unknown number: Coming home ?
I blinked at the text. "What's wrong?" Calum nudged my arm. Then naturally, he snatched my phone away and read the message displayed on the screen.
He cringed, "Block him or her." "Why?" I asked. The phone was passed to Michael, who had a similar scrunched-up facial expression shortly after his eyes darted back and forth across the screen. "Sounds like a complete pedo."
I urged for my phone back and I told them, "Nah, it's Arz." "How do you know that?" Calum asked. "There's a space in between 'home' and the question mark. She types like that," I didn't mean for a fun fact about Arzaylea session but oh well. Luke however looked like he had gained a piece of knowledge that could ace any test he took.
We were all quiet for a moment while I added Arzaylea to my contacts as '👹arzoot🐽'
Me: Why?
A few seconds later.
👹arzoot🐽: Got sumthin planned
Me: What planned?
👹arzoot🐽: You'll see
Me: I don't like this
👹arzoot🐽: :)
I left her hanging at the smiley face, which was kind of creepy but it looked like she was challenging me. As if ':)' meant, You're a complete pussy if you don't show up.
I guess I was staring at the screen, motionless for far too long so Calum, being the snatch he is, snatched away my phone once again. "Sweet, um Arzoot? Invited us over." "Seriously?" Luke's eyes lit up. A part of me wished I could just smack the life out of his eyes, the other part wished I could make his eyes light up like a starry ocean. Maybe I can, I thought.
You might think that the reason his eyes lit up was because of Arzaylea. That was partly true. But he'd be happier if I hadn't been so selfish. I kept the boys all to myself because my twin was non deserving. I've been trying to keep the both of them apart for my own liking. My fragile non existent feelings. Maybe I should give up and encourage their feelings. The same old routine.
"Yeah Luke," I gave him my best smile. "I'm sure Arzaylea's expecting all of you." I was just looking at Luke as if 'all of you' meant just 'you'. Then my phone buzzed. "Oh scratch that, you guys aren't coming home with me." Arzaylea's text read, come home alone, tell the boys to put on their party suits. I was getting even more anxious about what Arz was planning.
"Why not?" Luke knitted his blond brows. The rest frowned. "Go home and put on your party suits," I indirectly read the text. "My banana or hotdog suit?" Michael asked. "Neither," I laughed, "Why do you even own those? Ah never mind, just dress formally I guess." "You guess?" Ashton asked. "Wait," I held up a finger.
I texted Arzaylea that the boys were hesitating. She asked for their numbers which I thought she already had. I hesitated, but then punched in their contacts. Arzaylea's last text was her telling me that she has it settled and under control. The boys got texts right after that. They all grinned at their glassy phone screens. "Let's do this," Ashton looked up to face me and grinned ear to ear, the same way he did to his phone.
