It read 8:00PM on the digital clock of my phone. "Guys, can we start the movies?" It was Friday, it was also known as movie night.

"Okay okay, let us finish this one round," You have no idea how many times they all had been answering me that for the past two hours. I groaned and slumped on the couch.

30 minutes passed and finally, they ended their gaming session. I lazed on the couch that I was close to falling asleep. Luke shook me and asked me what I wanted to watch.

"Ghostbusters?" I suggested and they agreed. We watched the classic first one and ate some left over pizza. Calum got up and got us all a can of root beer from the fridge.

Towards the middle of the whole movie, Ashton's soft snores could be heard. I hauled myself over to Ashton who was sleeping on the carpeted floor and laid a flannel blanket over him. "Awwww cute," I heard Calum say from my right. He too was propped on the ground. Only me and Luke were sitting on the couch.

"I'd like a blankie too," Calum cooed. And I threw a blanket at him and it melted according to the shape of his face and half of his body. "Wow thanks for such a gentle approach," his muffled voice could be heard from under the sheets. Me and Luke were giggling on the couch, "Your welcome boo."

"Can I have a little goodnight kiss with that?" Calum said again, his voice was a little bit clearer now as his eyes peeped out from under the covers.

"Goodnight kiss my ass," I rolled my eyes at his spoiled kid behavior. "Whatever," he sassed. "Luke pass me a blanket," Michael instructed me, or maybe he instructed Luke. "Which Luke?" I asked. "Whichever, just as long as I get my blanket."

I passed a really cuddly yellow cotton blanket to Luke who was on my left as he was closer to Michael. He threw it at Michael the same way I threw a blanket at Calum. Michael raised a hand to catch the blanket when it landed, it draped around his hand.

I began to see why they started requesting for blankets. It started to get pretty chilly. I made a tiny move for the blanket then Luke asked, "Hey can you pass me that blanket?" He pointed to the pastel baby blue blanket I was going for. Then he realized I was going to get it for myself and it was the last and only blanket left. "Nevermind," he shook his head.

"I mean we can share," I said when I lifted the blue blanket a little. "O-okay," he stuttered. He was probably cold and freezing.

I passed him the blanket so he could spread it out. He opened the folds up and examined the size of it. "Umm, you might wanna come closer if you want the blanket to cover us both up," he spoke facing the blanket, refusing eye contact with me. "Okay," I moved in closer to the left. "Closer," he said and that's what I did, moved closer again. He cleared his throat, "Closer." I moved in so close that our thighs and arms were touching.

He flinched a little and made himself comfortable. He spread the blanket onto us and warmth overtook whatever that was under the blanket. With the warmth of his body and blanket, I felt cozy and snug. I also had a reckless urge to cuddle and snuggle him up with a hug but I couldn't do that unless I wanted to end our 'just friends' friendship in an awkward tangle.

The movie ended with the classic theme song and surprisingly I was in the same position I was forty-five minutes ago. I was known to be that kind of person that just cannot sit still. Luke didn't move either. But occasionally, I could feel his muscle in his arm tense up. The veins firming up when he clenched his fist and loosening up when he let go at command.

"Luke," he whispered into my ear because he was that close to my face. His breath smelt of pizza, and I was hungry, for pizza of course. "Yeah Luke?" I answered softly, my voice cracking a little.

"Do you wanna watch another movie?" he asked. Everyone else was asleep. I didn't feel like sleeping yet. And I also had a feeling he didn't too. I checked the clock again on my phone. 10:30PM. The night was still young. Hell yeah we were watching another movie.

"Bring it on."
