"Hey guys, Halloween is coming up," Ashton quirked up. "So?" Calum said. "What are you guys planning?" Ashton asked. "I'm not telling," I told him, although there was nothing to tell as I had no idea of who or what I was going to dress up as.

"Hmm, great idea, let's surprise each other on Halloween," Ashton put his thinking cap on. "Yeah, by surprise you mean me hiding behind the door and surprising you with a scary mask on? I'm not in for Ashton's girly screams," Said Michael. "Shut up," Ashton pouted. "I am," I raised my hand, just a little too high. I looked like those kind of kids in class who knew all the answers to teacher's questions but teachers decides to ignore the hand to give other students a chance. "I'll record," I pulled my hand down.

"You guys are mean," Ashton said sounding like a kid. "We're just kidding," I rolled my eyes. "I wasn't," Michael butted in. I hit him on the arm for the cheap move. "Okay, fine I was too," he groaned.

"That was a pretty great idea," Luke encouraged the idea. "Yeah, that way we won't be able to match costumes," Calum held a sour look. Match costumes? I imagined them being the cast of Power Rangers and then the next year they were Tellytubbies.

"What were you guys last year?" I asked out of curiosity. "Trash," Luke answered. "C'mon I'm being serious," I laughed. "Luke is being serious too," Michael laughed. "Are you serious?" I asked which made Michael laugh even louder because my eyes widened.

Luke nodded and explained. "Yeah, Michael was a silver trash can, Calum and I were trash bags and Ashton was trash, literal trash." My mouth gaped open. I mean the boys talked about being trash all the time, but I didn't come to think that they'd actually dress as trash for Halloween.

"A pain in the ass to get candy wrappers out of my hair," Ashton muttered and ruffled his luscious locks. "But either way, I'm pretty sure you looked fabulous," I encouragingly patted his hands. "Oh he did," Michael told me and shoved his phone under my nose. I took it and had a closer look at what was displayed on the screen.

It was a fashion statement. Luke and Calum were dressed like drag queens, with puffy black dresses, black face painted faces and black hair. I was guessing Luke had to dye his hair with black temporary hair dye at the time because I couldn't bring myself to imagine the blondie with black hair. Their limbs and legs though, were left untouched. They wore slippers to make the look even more sloppier. That was probably the first and last time they'd even wear slippers.

Michael on the other hand was literally in a trash can. It was as if someone had stuffed him into a trash can and his hands and legs decided to pop out of the can. He also had the lid of the trash can strapped to his head, like a hat. His shoes were silvery and spray painted and so were his socks. I could also see that he had a plain white shirt on. He did not wear any pants, none that I can see but luckily the trash can covered his torso and thighs. It was a pretty big hunk of metal.

Ashton's outfit was 100% trash. He had food wrappers, dented tin cans, crushed plastic bottles, candy wrappers and crumpled paper all over his torso and where his shorts should be. His hair also had a wave of trash washed over it. I prayed that they at least washed the materials used for this project.

In the picture overall, Ashton was picking at his hair, Michael was trying to bend over, Luke and Calum were tugging each other's trash bag togas. I slid my finger to the right to see more pictures. The next one was probably my favourite picture of them, don't even get me started about them being trash. They all had something in common, they were all laughing. Ashton leaned to the back laughing making his dimples pop, his hands still in his hair. Michael was still bent over laughing with his eyes shut. Calum was holding onto his stomach like it would fall out from excessive laughing. Luke looked like he was recovering from laughter but was still laughing with a red face. Whatever the cameraman said or something that happened really entertained them.

I didn't realize I was smiling too much at the phone that I might as well be sitting down on the couch in the picture behind them, just admiring.
