Chapter One

"I'm going to follow my instinct on this one"

Nicole told me, as salty tears flooded down my face. The thought of leaving now, returning to school made me feel sick. I was this close to live shows, but I know I'm not going through - the talent this year is unbelievable, a little sixteen year old school girl like me doesn't stand a chance

"And I have made my decision, Esme I want to take you to live shows"

The world froze for a minute, my heart stopping. Had I imagined that? Was I really about to perform in front of thousands of people. Millions of thoughts swirled around my head while I attempted to process this information. Finally, I let out a scream enclosing Nicole in my arms while more tears fell from my eyes

"Thank you so much!" I sobbed, resting my chin on her shoulder

"Let's go kick some ass at live shows!" Nicole laughed, releasing me from her hug

I bounced out the door, running towards Tamera and knocking her over in a cuddle, screaming "I got through, I got through!" In her ear

"Congrats Hun, now for my results" she smiled nervously, biting one of her nails - Nervous Habit

Half an hour later Steve, Nicole's assistant beckoned me into the living room, where the two other contestants going to live shows were

"Now that we've chosen our final three contestants, I can now reveal where you, and the rest of the XFactor are staying.....DRUMROLL PLEASE!"

Nicole ordered, Hitting my hands against the wooden floor I was sitting on, I looked around. Next to me was Tamera Foster and Hannah Barrett - two phenomenal singers

"The Corinthian Hotel!" Nicole revealed watching our excited faces for a few moments

"Make the most of your last night girlies!" She giggled, setting a Curfew of 10 pm

I grabbed my phone, slipped on my converse and headed towards the beach....I needed to ring my mum, tell her the news!

"Mummy!" I cooed, getting through to her phone after just a few rings

"Esme! We've been missing you so much! Are you okay? Any news?!" It's was amazing to hear her voice, although I've only been gone a week I missed my mum so much let alone my 4 year old baby sister and my 21 year old brother. I can't help worry about her since my dad left, especially now that his prison release date is coming up.

"Hello? The signal must be bad" Mum said, snapping me out of my train of thought

"Oh sorry, I think you better put me on loud speaker!" I laughed at the gasp in her voice

"Brandon! Sophia!" I heard my mum call faintly, continuing to inform me that I was on speaker

"Nicole just gave me some news!" I teased, kicking a stone that was buried in the sand

"Annnnnnnnddd?" Brandon sighed,

"I got through!" I squealed, dancing slightly to myself while I could hear my family celebrating in the background, my mum sobbing

"Anyway, I've got to go..........remember don't tell anyone!" I laughed, hanging up the phone and sitting down on the golden sand, watching the sun set

"Chop Chop get to bed! The flight is at 4am!" Nicole clapped her hands together once I returned to the gorgeous mansion

"4am!" I retorted, good luck waking me up that early!
