If your squeamish I wouldn't recommend reading this chapter but anyway hope you enjoy... 😁 Xoxo
"Kristen," he said, kissing my neck and face," time to get up."
I groaned and blinked my eyes open, his face parallel to mine.
"I don't wanna get up," I whimpered.
"We have to go in early so that no one catches us," he whispered, stroking my cheeks.
I gulped nervously, today was the last time I would ever see my skin completely normal.
"I'm scared," I said, squeezing his hand.
"Don't be," he said comfortingly.
We jumped out of bed and got changed, straightening my hair for a change. There was nothing to eat for breakfast, the only option was birthday cake. How healthy. It settled my nerves and calmed me down before hopping into his car. He squeezed my hand and smiled before driving away from the safety of my home.
He stopped outside a slick black building, it looked similar to the club he took me to on the first day we met. Little gargoyles stood outside the door, fierce and scary looking. Harry looked around anxiously before unlocking the door to the tattoo parlour. Lacy black and red wallpaper was everywhere, huge red lamps lighting up every corner. They were clearly goths or emos.
I watched Harry pull out all the equipment he needed, my heart thumping. He fixed a needle and black ink in place, making me feel sick.
"You ready?" he asked.
I nodded, but inside I just wanted to run away and vomit somewhere. He patted a leather bed, telling me to sit on it. I did as I was told, letting him unbutton my chiffon vest. He pulled on rubber gloves and smeared some kind of lotion into my skin, massaging it softly. His lips kissed exactly where he was about to draw on me, tracing my selected bird design.
"Relax," he whispered, rubbing my tense shoulders.
I breathed and he switched the little pen-like machine on, making a funny jittering sound. I felt the needle pierce my skin and winced, squeezing the leather and digging my nails in. The pain was bearable, but I wanted him to make it stop.
"Harry-"
"Sssshhh," he hushed me softly, "stay still, your okay."
His words comforted me and I closed my eyes, trying to forget about the feeling on my back. He drew and wiped and drew and wiped, making sure the excess ink was gone.
After what felt like forever, he smiled and tickled my back gently, whispering in my ear.
"It's beautiful."
I moved up slowly, my back numb and tingly. He led me towards a mirror, pulling my hair back to reveal my first tattoo. The little black birds flew round my shoulder in a perfect swirl, showing that this was a new beginning in my life. I threw my arms round Harry, forgetting about the sharp sting I was experiencing. He held me close and kissed my neck.
"I love it," I said, close to tears.
"I love you," he said softly, "and...I want to make this official."
I looked up at him, my eyes moving up and down his body. He combed his fingers through my hair, pulling my face closer and kissing me softly. He pulled a small box from his pocket, the kind you would expect to find jewellery in.
"Harry I don't need anything else."
I watched him open it, a gold Victorian style key inside, his house key. He tucked my hair behind my ear, his cheek against mine.
