Chapter 5

I can't believe that I have over 300 reads!! I thank you guys in every chapter but really you guys are my inspiration to continue this story. I've never written a complete story because I always lose hope in it succeeding so thank you guys so much(: I know I promised an update at 175 reads and it been a little late on that front so I'm so sorry about that(: Enjoy!!

Ariana's P.O.V

"What did you do?" I ask hesitantly.

Something had happened. I don't know what yet, but something had happened.

"Just eliminating the competition." He smirked.

All the pieces started falling together.

Jai

"What did you do to him?"

I heard the sirens in the distance, thanks to my excellent hearing.

"Jai!" I shouted running towards the door.

Nathan didn't try to stop me. I sped over to the source of the sirens. People were crowded around a car.

Jai's car.

I ran up to the side of it. The vehicle stunk of gasoline.

This thing was gonna blow any second.

I smashed the window open and ripped the seatbelt off my beloved boyfriend.

I gently lifted him off the seat of the car. His head rolled back so I lifted it up onto the inside of my elbow.

Everyone stared at me in awe.

I got a safe distance from the automobile and lied Jai's passes out body onto the asphalt.

Second later the car exploded. I blocked the heat with my own body.

Jai looked so hurt.

Blood ran down this head and into his face. His nose was obviously broken.

The sirens got louder. A man jumped out of the ambulance and rushed over to Jai and me.

"Out of the way!" He shouted.

I obeyed and backed away from the scene.

"Nathan..." I swore under my breathe.

I decided to meet Jai at the hospital later. For now I had to kick some vampire butt.

I ran back to my apartment.

Nathan was still there. He had found his way to the couch and was now lounging there.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" I hissed.

Walking over to him and grabbing him by the throat.

He was taken aback by my uncharacteristically aggressive actions.

I pinned him onto the couch and continued straggling him in the hopes that he would die.

Instead he grabbed my wrist and yanked my hand off his throat, twisting it.

I yelped in pain struggling out of his grip. I kicked his leg out from underneath him.

"Ugh!" He groaned as his back hit the floor.

I continued my attempt to strangle him. I picked him up by the throat and lifted him into the air.

His eyes were filled with fear.

"Don't you ever touch my family/friends again. Do you understand me!?" I shouted at his weak body.

I was shook out of my anger mania by my ringtone.

I threw him again the wall and ran to the phone.

It's was the hospital.

"Hello? Ms. Grande? I'm calling in regards of your boyfriend, Jai Brooks."

The nurses voice was soft but urgent, which scared me.

"This is she, how is he doing? Is he doing okay?"

"That's why I was calling." She paused taking a deep breath. "Jai is in bad shape. Broken ribs, internal bleeding, slight brain damage, and he's really scratched up."

I slapped my hand over my mouth. Tears slipped down my face. I totally forgot that the nurse was on the other line.

"Will... W-will he s-survive?" I whispered, barely audible.

"We don't know but..." She stopped and something crashed in the background.

"I'll call you back, Jai's awake." She rushed and hung up.

I turned toward Nathan. Throwing my IPhone onto the floor.

"You."
