Chapter 7.5

Violet

"Ha? Come again?"

"Nothing." parang naiiritang sabi niya.

I pouted. "Kasi naman. Kung may sasabihin ka, yung malinaw hindi yung kung kailan ako tumatawa."

He ruffled my hair. I tap his hand on my head. "Don't ruin my hair, Vander."

Tumalim ang tingin niya sa akin. "I said it's Seth."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever," Napakunot ang noo ko nang may maalala ako. "What are you doing here?"

His face turns serious as it could. "Monsters attacked Piusn three days ago."

Prince haven't told me anything about that.

"What kind?" I asked.

He shrugged as he laid beside me. He closed his eyes as he placed a shoulder over half of his face.

"Ogres."

I gasped as I hit him with a pillow. He looked at me, frowning. "How could you be so calm like that? My kingdom is in danger!" I am frustrated right now, really.

"This is not your kingdom anymore." he said firmly. "Besides, it's miles away from here."

Napayuko ako. Yes, I know, I was dethroned. But that doesn't mean that I didn't care for the people we once ruled over. Technically I am still the princess but they made the wizards believe that I was dead. So, I was dethroned.

They're vicious, I know.

Vander sighed as he gently pulled me down to bed. I looked at his chest, not wanting to meet his gaze.

He hugged me. "Sorry, I shouldn't be so calloused."

"You know how I love Piusne people." my voice croaked as tears brimmed my eyes. I remembered her again.

I felt him kissed my hair. "Don't worry, they're already working on it."

"Will they be fine?" I asked, still burying my face at his musky chest.

"You know what dark magic could do." His chest was vibrating in every word he says.

"Ogres became a good friend of the government since my great grandpa so why are they acting like that?"

"Nobody knows. They made it look like the ogres got out of control."

"They're brainwashing Utopians."

"And we can't do something about it."

Natahimik kami saglit. "I was wandering around the conference hall as an ant when the elders held a meeting." he said, breaking the ice.

That piqued my interest. "Tungkol saan ang meeting nila?"

Medyo inilayo niya ako sa kaniya at saka ako tinitigan.

"They're changing the curricula."

My brows furrowed. "Huwag na kasi pa-suspense!" I playfully slapped his chest. Ouch, ang tigas.

He groaned as he pulled himself from me and laid on his back, eyes closed. "Aalisin na raw ang houses. They'll make look it like an ordinary academy."

My eyebrow shot up. "‘Yon lang?"

"Also, they're adding a physical training. Hinahanda nila ang mga estudyante sa digmaan."

Nanlaki ang mata ko. "Digmaan?!"

He nodded, as if this whole thing was a blah. "Sabi nila ay may organisasyon daw ng mga enchantress ang nabubuo at kasama nito ang mga halimaw."

"May digmaang mangyayari. Oh my gosh. You better find my sister."

"What happened to your eyes?"

"What?"

"It turned violet."

Violet?
